hey guys

I am applying for GI I got only rejections, so far
but still positive
I have 5 years of basic research at big center, few pubs, green crd,
and IMG.

hey guys...i, too, am sitting here waiting anxiously for interviews...

anyways, i just realized something strange...i was checking out the nrmp directory for fellowship slot offers and DID NOT SEE MY INSTITUTION ON THE LIST...I am kinda confused as to what that exactly means....

does it mean that there are no spots offered by my program for 2010? are these spots already filled (have not asked the GI PD here yet, cuz it's kinda strange thing to ask)? OR, does it simply mean that not all programs have submitted their quotes yet (? 2/2 deadline for finalizing quota being mid-late May) and can revise this list at a later date?

HELP?? And what have you guys found about your respective programs' GI position quotas?

curious to find out....

Any obvious explanation for why some programs have sent out invites and rejections to some and did not reply at all to others?

NYU sent some crappy "we're sorry not started yet e-mail"....

I'm on call so no sleep anyways...I'll keep checking:love:

Yes, I have been told that the NRMP database is not yet updated, as my program loaded the open seats in last week and its still not showing up on the NRMP...so dont worry

One rejection this whole week.........wow..usually I thought programs make some sort of decision by now....
 
Any one have programs not upload your application so far?
University of Conn and SUNY Stony Brook have not opened mine thus far.
 
UNC and John Hopkins haven't downloaded yet....

And by the way U. conn kind of usually internally matches its candidates, atleast in last few years....

I wonder if you guys applied early/on-time....i had to apply late as I had some issues....so far no rejects or invites.......any words of wisdomn guys?

I just got a VCU mass email that we should stop bothering them..:D
In any case, to repeat this over and over again....for those who are getting frustrated ....Feb is when most FMGs/ IMGs get interviews...
Anyways, Hematemesis good job on VCU, I really hope I get a call from them, they have a good hepatology program..:)

thanks priya...AMG at a solid university program but nothing stellar with respect to research and publications
