It seems like everyone who posts in this thread gets an interview so why not post? I got an interview this week but I figure I can claim hiatus status after a four day drought 🙂
i got one today!!! POST! it helps.![]()
actually nothing beats a monkey dance. 👍Can't hurt, and sure beats the monkey dance of good luck that my coworkers were proposing.
I got 6 in a two week period, and then haven't heard a word since. This "post in this thread and then they appear" trick better work.I got three right away and then a two week break and then two in the same day. That was probably two weeks ago so I too am hoping NYU will keep this trend alive today.
nah that doesn't sound desperate, fridays definitely used to be the best day. i was really really upset last friday leaving work when i hadn't heard anything. and it looks like i'll leave work in the same mood this friday.Come on...Friday is usually when stuff happens day!!!
Oh my I sound desperate...I have not heard any news in so long and the compulsive email checking it driving me insane.

Didn't you just post a UVa invite? You haven't heard from a school for a whole 24 hours? Poor you.
UVa was more than a week ago actually - took me a while to post on that thread.
have i ever told you that your mcat score makes me want to cry a little? nice job.Ah... well you need to get with the program if you're taking a week to post interview invites 🙂

getting 13s in every section.. thats crazy
i liked it a lot. my interviewer was cool and all of the students seemed really really happy to be there. and the apartments are very nice and very cheap. i really hate that they do not even start giving decisions until january.Hehe, thanks 🙂 Yeah I was a bit surprised with the score when I got it. Had luck on my side last August I guess!
How did you like AECOM? It wasn't what I expected at all (in a good way) and I was pretty impressed!

i hope posting here works, I've only gotten one interview from USC so far and I've been checking my inbox like crazy. there's been no word from anybody for weeks and weeks. 🙁
What did you think of downstate? how did it go? I am there on wednesday but i'm going to be exhausted from traveling for my tufts interview the day before...couldn't get my flight changed so i fly into philadelphia at 10:15pm, drive to ny, sleep at my parent's place, then go to the interview in the morning. I've never been there even though i grew up very close to it, so i'm curious as to what the facilities and the students are like.I'll post...I haven't had an invite in nearly 4 weeks. I know I have a bunch of invites already so I'm not too worried, but still, it'd be nice to get another one soon.

that's really cool about the study carrols. I grew up mostly in suffolk county too! glad you enjoyed it, and good luck. Do you know when they start announcing acceptances? The facilities are ok, nothing to brag about but they were fine. The anatomy labs were nice. What seems to be unique at Downstate is that the students all get their own "carrels", which is a desk, file cabinet, and cabinet with a full set of books that they need that year, all located in these study rooms with a couple computers, pretty cool. We only saw the 2 students that conducted the tour, so I'm not sure if their opinions are representative of the entire student body, but they were really enthusiastic, really liked the school, and were really eager to answer our questions. They said their class (ms-2s) was really close and had a lot of fun together. So my impression of the school really improved after the interview.
This was my first time in Brooklyn (grew up in Suffolk County) too. But the ms-2s said they really liked living there.
One tip: If you have a morning interview, bring something with you to read. After your interview, you just sort of chill with the other interviewees until the tour at 12:45 so be prepared!

i'm wondering what's going on with USC. it seems like they sent out some invites one day the end of August but then didn't send any more. does anyone from USC have any insight?
congrats, by the way!
Maybe USC makes decisions only at ends of each month, like how some schools only make acceptance decisions at the ends of each month.
