Anyone Else With 30+ MCAT Not Getting Any Love From Drexel?

Ok, was waitlisted last year with a sub 30 MCAT and didn't get in. Retook the MCAT and broke the 30 barrier (31), file has been complete for a while now, no interview offer yet. Anyone else with 30+ MCAT not getting any love from Drexel? Really like this school and really getting frustrated. 🙁

Yeah, I'm an August MCAT'r too. I hope that's the reason the love hasn't come yet. If you don't get an interview invite with a 34 MCAT and your family connections, I guess I'm screwed again. 🙁

im also a drexel reapplicant. i got an interview last year with my numbers. as you can probably tell from my user name, drexel is extremely slow and disorganized. if you've got a good application goin, dont worry about drexel just yet. chances are they are just way behind.

Any indication why they rejected you?

My student interview didn't go well. It was my first interview, and after having a spectacular faculty interview I think I was just too relaxed with the student and got careless. I was trying to get across the point that before visiting I didn't know what to think about Drexel but having seen it I was blown away and really liked it. But I think it may have come across like I was treating Drexel as a safety. Oh well.

No argument there. Anyone who is a Drexel reapplicant knows how slow and disorganzied they are. Just feeling unloved when I read of people getting acceptances already and me with no interview invite.

they're a very good school but so many people apply there because they have a reputation of accepting a lot of people (they have a current m1 size of 255). they also have 2 great curriculums (one is large lecture based & one is problem-based). i've got a feeling most of the people with great numbers who got rejected probably came off treating drexel like a safety.. and i'm sure once they see that they will give u the boot no matter how good your stats are.

I got NO INTERVIEWS. i'm just the pathetic loser sister of the SDN family sitting in the corner stuffing ranch doritos in my face while everyone enjoys the party. i should go home and stop depressing everyone but i don't.

A high-up in the psychiatry department and residency program was on my dissertation committee (and wrote me a LOR) at Drexel: nothing. Temple, UPenn: same dealio. I've got decent stats, Ph.D. in hand, clinical time out the wazoo, and I'm sitting here twiddling my thumbs. w00t.

I hope you get something soon. At least your from the state, so hopefully they will see that and care...private schools or not!
