Is there a national standard for AOA?
ie-is it always the top 10% of a class? my class is only 75 people so that means only 7.5 AOA students?
or is it top 15% etc...
just curious,

the standard is top 25% academically to be eligible; but only 1/6 of the class can be elected.

Do people put on their CV/residency applications that they were "AOA-eligible" if they weren't elected?

I would guess not, since that begs the question, "why weren't you elected?" i.e. what's wrong with you?

you have to be elected? what is that based on?
thanks

you wouldn't have to. On your dean's letter, your school will make it fairly clear where you stand in the class. If you were top 25%, you were AOA-eligible.
