I’m waiting on this one too! Haven’t heard anything. I did see other Vanderbilt notification on this forum but it was for another track. It’s sort of strange given their interviews days are so soon.

I received an invite for the Adult track a couple weeks ago, but I don't know how that translates to the Child track. Are the interview dates the same (12/4, 12/6, 12/18, 1/8)? If so, they are coming up and it might be reason enough to reach out..

I thought the same thing! Especially because their interview notification date is listed as 12/7, which doesn’t make much sense as 2 of their interview dates are 12/4 and 12/6.

I have not been hurt/offended by a rejection so far until today! I was rejected from UC San Francisco, University of Washington, and Western State Hospital. Although a little bummed because I would've loved to interview at those places, I wasn't hurt or taking it personally, and just assumed they saw something in my essays or cover letter that led them to believe their site would not be a good fit for me.

But in my mind, those are more "competitive" sites, as they receive a large volume of applications and accept few applicants. Oakes Children's Center is accredited on contingency, and I applied to it as a safety site :scared:. I got rejected by something I thought was "safe"!

I am trying to tell myself that they are partially affiliated with the Wright Institute, and maybe gave all of their spots to them. Or maybe there was something in my cover letter that didn't represent my interest well enough. Although I wasn't passionate about this site, it somehow hurts more than the ones I really liked!

I am also waiting for a site that hasn't posted any possible interview dates and I am not sure what to do if all the dates they offer are already taken by other interviews.

I just sent an email to them with an update and framed it as like, "I know scheduling things can be difficult, so I wanted to give you as much notice as possible that my preferred date has changed."

Exactly! The only way it (sort of) makes sense is if those dates are used for the tracks that they notified earlier. ‍
 
So I just realized this site isn't on the list and after my rejection today from VA West LA I really just wanted to make myself feel better by getting to post one of these!!

I am getting rejected left and right today! This was in my top 5 on paper. 🙁

5 rejections, 1 site closed, 2 invites, waiting on 10 more sites, and I am anticipating that 90% of those 10 remaining will be rejections. I had a lot of false hope in myself going into this, haha!

I just received a similar email from a site that I applied to and had the same panic reaction

It started off so positive too! Then I get to the end and I’m like ummm what?

Have to ride my bike to therapy now, so that forces me about an hour and a half of being unable to check my e-mail, bc God knows today I am incapable of controlling myself. I am usually better about checking it, but I was just anticipating so many today.

But mass hysteria is more fun and bonding. Like a natural disaster pulling people together, or something to that effect.
