Can you explain what this method of invitation is? I’m not familiar with that.
 
"They" weren't lying when they say this process is a rollercoaster. Some people are faring this process better/healthier than others. I'm also of the mindset that, processes like this, evoke a very innate response/reaction that can be understandable and somewhat appropriate. In these past weeks/month(s), I have experienced a full range of emotions about this process. I think sometimes we are taught that it's too taboo for people like us to admit these things, or rather, to not be so public about it. I say screw it. Be human for a change. Despite getting some great news today, my brain is also channeling other emotions simultaneously which makes for a very interesting experience. Taking my ACT approach has allowed me to just "sit" with these feelings. Not needing to modify or reframe them, but accepting them. Knowing it is fine to experience these feelings and not be ashamed of them.

Luckily, I somehow have interview offers for 3 sites, so I am feeling extra glad and extra grateful they could overlook this mistake! Wonder how many lists it may have booted me from, though. Ack!

It’s a stressful process! I think this is a pretty minor oversight. You have info about your clinical group experiences in your cover letter, cv, letters of rec, and essays. You have a whole essay devoted to your clinical orientation and they probably can guess based on your program.

I wouldn’t call attention to not having that detail in your packet. I think it would cause TD’s extra hassle and point out a mistake they likely didn’t even notice. I would be shocked if that is a make or break thing. They have so little time to review apps and our apps are LONG

I am the same way.... I can't believe I forgot to write the just kidding part. Not a funny joke when it causes my fellow already anxiety-stricken applicants to panic, hahaha! Fixed it :laugh: so glad you caught that before I had everyone running to their snapchats. just one more thing to worry about!

This is so helpful! I assume if these folks didn't leave voicemails it probably wasn't the site. Googling the numbers did not generate any helpful info.

Haha congrats on the interview! This is one of my top sites so crossing my fingers I will hear from them soon.

I'm sorry to be a little blunt here..but why are you delaying calling the number back? I'd think about the worst thing that can happen if you call back, versus the worst that can happen if you do not..

I have not. I've seen two days of invitations, seemingly for different tracks. However, looking at last year's thread, it does not look like their invitations were specific to track. So I have no idea what to expect given their tendency to engage in a legitimate 'rolling' process. Maybe those who were invited can let us know if the invitations mentioned their desired tracks.

Well, the worst thing that can happen is activating a SPAM scam, of which spoofing a number and not leaving a VM is a very common thing. As for the chance that it was UMASS, they'll call back, if so. Sites will not cross someone off their list of interviews simply because they did not answer their phone right away or call back if no message was left.

Hang in there! I've heard the war stories from friends of mine. Even my husband had an in-person interview he walked out of feeling like he bombed...he ended up matching there LOL.

I applied to the general, trauma, and child track and I got an interview invite on Monday! They didn't mention the tracks at all so I assume it's just completely rolling.

I also got rejected from Jackson, so I join you in the pain.
 
So if a site says “we will call you to schedule an interview” and its been 1.5 days since the email and you have anxiety about your available days being taken by other applicants...

at what point can i start freaking out?? Lol

I had a set up like this and it took about a week to get a phone call about the interview dates. Not fun waiting, but guess they are quite busy too 🙂

I have a friend at Central Western MAssachusetts VA who said that invites are going out tonight. Last year she got her invite at 8:30pm

Congratulations!! It seems as if they may be sending out the invites by track?? I received a call for the Juvenile Justice/Forensic track on Monday.

I've been wondering about them. I saw on the APPIC directory, they changed their notification date from Dec 2 to Dec 4. Guess they have been busy sifting through everything

I tried following your directions but cannot locate this. Can you please provide additional directions? All I see is that my profile says, "Application Received."

Then that means yours wasn't reviewed yet. It would say referred or something else if it was. I think it was maybe only MDC that reviewed so far which is why my status was updated. Which BOP's did you apply to?

So strange. I have no idea why mine is updated and not others. Maybe because I filled out the USAJobs like the day I got the email? I wish I had more information guys I'm sorry for getting people excited. I just assumed it was all done around the same time!

Hmm... I applied to MDC and Lexington. I guess I'll just have to wait. Patience the key to this season!
