I interveiwed at UC Davis in mid-December and was
placed on the 'on hold' list in January. Does anyone
have any idea about exactly when that list will move?
I know that they say we will be notified after they have
interviewed all candidates- but does anyone finished
have any info on when they will be finished interviewing?
I have 2 acceptances from other schools so far, but Davis
is my 1st choice, so I want to wait to make my decision.
Also, is being on hold better or worse than being waitlisted?
Any information would be appreciated. Tx

Well, they told me that when they finish interviewing everyone (I don't know when that is), that those placed on HOLD would either me rejected or waitlisted.

I'm copying and pasting Terri Hall's response to my inquiry back in December. Hope it helps.

"You are current in assuming that those applicants placed in the Hold Category are not yet ranked and will not be until all interviews take place. This will not be done until at least June."

i just interviewed there last week. they said they had given approx. 100 acceptances. they usually accept 200 to fill their class. they are really behind so i wouldn't look for any movement soon.
