guys, im having trouble integrating all the important steps in nitro metabolism. it seems kinda scattershot, like some aa's we need to know catabolism, some we need to know their anabolism, and how they all plug into ketogenic, glucogenic, blah blah blah BLAH!

any advice on how to study effectively for this segment of biochem? thanks in advance!

Take a large sheet of paper. Draw the krebs cycle. Next to each intermediate, write in what AAs feed into this step. Come back the next day, and try to rationalize how each AA gets into the cycle.

I found that working backwards was the best way of memorizing the metabolism.
