on a side note, how many people do you guys thing need to be reviewed? I know some was accepted in the first round, some deferred and other waitlisted, was just curious how many apps they have to go through. Plus im pretty sure that they were fewer people who interviewed the second round since it was a shorter period (dec15-feb15).
you guys have to remember that this year is a rare near-record year for med school applications across the nation! (up 25% from last year!)
I dont give a toss I want to know what the decision is on my application asap!
Seriously I'd rather just get my decision, even if its a rejection.

Did you guys see that thread about how horrible BU was? I read it, but I don't know if I believe it is the case for most students. To me I think there's always unhappy students everywhere.
I went there for 1 year of UG and I really liked it. I know, for UG at least, they have a high transfer rate, but that is because tuition is so high, some people don't like Boston, and they have an program that is almost like a two year probationary UG where if you do well, you can apply to the college of your choice, if you do bad, you're done at BU. To me, I think some of the same factors could way in for medschool.
What do you guys think?
Just wondering, do you guys all have other acceptances, and just really want to go to boston, or are you like me and hoping that this is the one fat envelope that's gonna make you a doctor?
I don't know about the decisions being sent this week. I get the feeling that the stories we heard about them being sent late last week were just a rumor, and that they're probably going to stick with their last week of March date. So here's hoping that this week goes by fast . .

I'm going to guess it was a rumor--I live fairly close to Boston and usually get mail the next day (example: my Harvard rejection had a nice snappy turnaround), and I haven't heard a peep from BU.![]()

Very sorry to hear about your Harvard rejection, Foofish. Glad to see you're keeping the snappy icons though, even in the face of adversity.😛 Best of luck w/ BU!
fyi: january rejections and deferrals were all done by email and those folks were the first to hear. acceptances were phone calls followed by big envelopes a few days later. if you don't hear anything the first day or so it's probably a good thing and your interviewer might have just forgotten to call. so it may not matter where you live if they do the same thing this time around. i am on the west coast and heard quickly b/c my interviewer left a voicemail on my cell phone.
not if your interviewer didn't call you. if that's the case though you would have received your packet in the mail a couple of days after the email rejections. in Jan, people received email rejections on the first day, phone calls on the 2nd or 3rd, and it seemed that acceptance packets were mailed out on the same day as the phone calls. So IF it's the same as January, the first people will hear by email. Good luck, everyone! I'm not positive I will be at BU as I am also waiting to hear from other schools, but some of us may be future classmates!
They're being shady! Haha, All I can say is they're not being any more specific than "by the end of the month." Good luck to you all, and hang tight!

11 days and counting till the end of March !!!!
Yeah, no kidding. 11 days and counting until they are required by the AAMC to have accepted at least a full class!
"By March 15 of the year of matriculation, each school of medicine should have issued a number of acceptances at least equal to the size of its first-year entering class."
"By March 30 of the matriculation year, each school have issued a number of offers of acceptance at least equal to the expected number of students in its first-year entering class and have reported those acceptance actions to the AAMC Section for Medical School Application Services."
I got both of these from the AAMC website. So, they should have admitted or will admit at least ~160(?!?!) people within the next few days.
