calculating pre-req GPA

Most of the PT schools that I'm interested in attending list trig or stats as the highest level of math required for admission, I took trig and earned an A, but I also took calculus and got a C, (at the time I took it I didn't think I was going to persue PT, and needed it for my major). My question is, when the school calculates my pre-req GPA will they use the A I recieved in trig, or the C I got in calc? I realize that no matter what the C will be included in my over all GPA.

Can't answer this for sure without knowing what school you are talking about, but I guess the question is do they calculate a PRE-REQ gpa or do they calculate a MATH/SCIENCE gpa? They should specify that somewhere. If it is the former, then I would think that they would only use your trig grade (not the calculus grade), as the pre-req was trig/stats, not calculus. However, at my school there were courses listed as pre-req's (like yours, trig & stats were required and calculus was not) BUT they calculated a math/science GPA, which included ALL math & science courses you took in undergrad, not just the pre-reqs... which for me included calc 1&2 and all sorts of nasty adv. bio. courses since I was a bio major. If this is the case for your school, then they will include the calculus grade in the calculation.
