Can I take biochemistry after my SMP as long as I take it before matriculating?

So as of right now I'm taking my DAT this summer, doing a one-year SMP next academic year, and then applying next summer. Can I apply before having taken biochemistry in the summer of 2017, and just take biochemistry by itself the fall of 2017 during when I'm applying? I'm looking to get feedback or advice so anything help would be greatly appreciated!

My adviser told me it's fine as long as you complete all the prereqs before you matriculate, unless the subjects appear on the DAT, in which case you need to take them before you take the DAT. Hope that helps

@SrJulio @Illumident, thanks guys! This helps. I considered taking it this summer but I think a summer course is just too fast-paced, especially for such an intense course/subject. I want a proper foundation, and I also feel as though it'll conflict with obtaining an ideal DAT score.
