I have five LOR's from 2022. Is it acceptable to use my current letters with dates from 2022?
If the older date is an issue should I contact each medical school and explain?

(1) One letter writer had a stroke, took the rest of semester off for rehab, retired, and moved out east to spend time with his grandkids. Can no longer contact.
(2) One letter writer retired and moved down south to take care of her aging parents. Can no longer contact.
(3) One letter writer no longer works at the university, I emailed his last known address and have not heard back.
(4) One letter writer, Science and research mentor, I am in touch with but the university (I went to for my first two years of undergrad) has closed and she now works for a local government. Which makes writing a letter on letterhead look as if it is official government business or that the local government is endorsing me. There is concern that this may be an issue for them.
(5) The last letter writer, non-science professor, I am in contact with as well, and should be getting an updated version.

The science professors that I have any meaningful relationship with, Gen. Chem. I, II, Lab, O-Chem. I, II, Lab, Green Chem., Chem. of Bio., Physics I, II, have all retired, or now work outside of academia. I have been unable to contact them.

Thank you in advance for your input.
