The 2018 Charting Outcomes for fellowships reports that there were 47 matched and 29 unmatched DOs in cardiovascular disease.

I'm not sure if this is even the correct place to ask this - I feel as if I might be missing a piece of the puzzle here. I always thought cards was a popular pick. Why does it seem like there are so few DOs applying?

2019 Charting outcomes- https://mk0nrmp3oyqui6wqfm.kinstacdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/Results-and-Data-SMS-2019.pdf
Because that was the 2018 outcomes and there were many more AOA Cards programs so many DO's matched in that. This year 75 DO's matched Cards and there still about 10ish programs that filled in the AOA fellowship match, so the overall number of DO's is prbly closer to 100 or more!

That number makes more sense! I hadn’t considered the AOA fellowships. Thank you!
