this is a question posed in another thread as well...would be interesting to know.
OP: There has got to be someone with some info on this. It defiinitely appears to be late in the season to START interviewing, but Drew has its own timeline as well.

Do a search on Drew on SDN and you'll see links to all sorts of articles. The MD program is accredited, their teaching hospital is in trouble.

Does anyone know if Drew always starts to interview late in the season, or is it just this year? I called a couple days ago and I was told my Norma that they haven't started interviewing yet...

When is Drew interviewing????
...I'm starting to definitly think it's not happening this year. I have a friend who has applied there and she's just going crazy about getting in somewhere instate because she's married, even if it's in the shape that Drew unfortunately currently is.

i submitted my app to them right on their amcas deadline (11/1) and haven't heard anything since....

The residency training programs at Drew are pretty much over because the hospital lost its accreditation. The medical school program, however, is a different issue. Drew students spend the first 2 years of med school attending lectures, PBL sessions, and labs with UCLA students (during my 1st & 2nd year, my classmates didn't really care who was Drew and who was UCLA; we were all in it together). The only change will be in the 3rd year required clinical rotations. Some of the 3rd year rotations are done with UCLA students, but many of them are done only at Drew. I imagine that since UCLA has so many other affiliated hospitals, it shouldn't be too difficult to find new rotation sites for the incoming Drew students.
