hiya.. I just went throught the same thing a couple of weeks ago...email them..but be nice about it... stress how important it is for you to be complete early.. i know they already muct know this!!... and do I what i did...

is there anything that i need to do to speed up this process?? can i give you my letters with express envelopes so it can reach the school as soon as possible??? i know that will b expensive but this is very important to me...

that is the basic summary of the email i wrote to my advisor after they gave me the run around for like five weeks...somehow 2 weeks became 5...but just stay on top of them...and some schools will send you an invite before they have your letters..like wvsom, nycom, and western i think (i didn't apply there though)...u r still really really early for do schools though

Thanks for the advice, I think I am too the point of annying them. They already have all my envelopes and I have stressed to them how important is was to be complete at schools by mid august, but nothing. Hopefully tomorrow they will send them out!
 
I've heard too many stories about pre-health committees being slow with sending stuff out which is why I opted not to go through them. I figure using Interfolio and going to my professors directly gave me more control.

CCOM is technically sending out their invites on Monday (don't worry!), but I had some other business to attend to and found out through that.

They're one of my top choices regardless if they were DO or MD!

OMG soo jealous!! CCOM is my top choice and they waitlisted me pre-interview last year. 😡 But my stats are a bit better now. HOw did u hear from them... ps do you have amazing stats?

I had other business with CCOM and they were kind enough to also check on my app. My official interview invite is supposed to be sent on Monday with the rest of the group who have been chosen but I just had a weird situation where I found out a couple days early.

My MCAT/GPA stats aren't spectacular: 23Q and 3.5 but I have a M.S. in speech-language pathology and have been practicing for over 7 years, 3 of which have been my own private practice. I was in a PhD program prior to leaving to pursue medicine and gained lots of research experience and taught an undergraduate course as well. My total Grad GPA is 3.8-9 ish. I also have a lot of fun ECs including involvement in my husband's rugby club. I think my LORs were pretty good, too. At least my writers said so.

I've also done lots of traveling and worked as a speech therapist overseas.

Nice resume...we're in a similar boat. I've been a practicing PT for about six years. Also - you cheered at SIU? I cheered for UT back in the early 90's. Also known as the "Dark Years". Congratulations on the interview. Hope you have more to come.

LOL - no cheerleading for me! I was in the marching band though (percussion rocks!)

My folks and I have season tickets for Football and B-ball and I try to make about half the games. Big SIU fan - w00t! We'll see if they show me any love later on 😳

What exactly is the CCOM interview scheduling system, Is that the "Interact Now" option?

CCOM: I just reposted the same question (duh to me).

Nova: no, but I got confirmed this week, so it probably has not made it through the mail system to me yet.

For those with the KCUMB interviews, when were you complete? I just send my LORs in priority mail on tuesday. Hope to hear something next week.
 
KCUMB was a pre-secondary. I'm planning on doing the secondary this weekend. My last LOR finally got sent in this week. So, I'm hoping schools will get them by virtualevals next week.

Hi guys,

I haven't received an email from CCOM, but I was able to check whether i was invited for an interview at www.midwestern.edu/scheduling. It'll ask you for your last name and student ID number. For the student ID number, I put in the number that was assigned to me when I signed up for the Interact Now account. If you didn't write that down, maybe you've entered it in the profile section of Interact Now (I did, but it was optional). Anyway, just thought I would put this up so you guys won't have to wait until Monday either. Good luck!! 🙂

I saw on here that someone else checked the Midwestern scheduling site and had an interview, so I checked, and I had one too! Awesome. Unfortunately, I can't make any of the dates listed, so I have to call tomorrow to pick a different day.

did all of you with interviews at CCOM receive emails tonight, within the last couple of hours, or today sometime, or are you checking somewhere on line, how did you find out? and when were you complete and were your stats amazing?

I picked a date and got a confirmation email as the following:

Thank you for scheduling an interview at IL: Medicine on 9/21/2007. Please plan to meet in Littlejohn Hall (Library) by 7:45 a.m. that morning and check in at the registration table located in the atrium.
