Frankly, I could get fired and I don't give a damn. But I know this is not going to happen since my PI has a crush on me. It's been confirmed... I hope he didn't think that leaving his wife would allow him to make a more aggressive approach towards me. 😕:scared:

My PI left his wife a few weeks ago... for another man. He made a point of saying...

I guess I'll be the first one to say it, the Big Bang Theory is an awful, awful, terribly unfunny show. How it manages to garner emmy nominations over far superior fair like Community and Its Always Sunny is a complete and utter travesty.

As a matter of fact, all CBS comedies not named HIMYM are terrible.

I don't find it funny, either, which is surprising because I'm kind of a nerd.

One of my PI's didn't write anything about my character what-so-ever. Straight up just wrote that I did my work and that nothing got stolen in the lab because I have an intimidating figure and would make a good bodyguard. They also had a weird sentence saying somethign along the lines of my last student to apply to medical school was accepted at mayo and oaklandguy got to see her work as an undergrad.... and I think they made me out to be a beast at cleaning glassware.

Another one of my PI's said some good stuff about how I went above and beyond by reading articles and presenting the information to her in order to bring it into our own work etc.

Best letter by far was my humanities teacher though. To whom it may concern Oaklandguy was my top student. I was happy with that one. Unfortunately they are only a masters and have only been teaching for like 5 years... but we'll see what happens.

They did get someone into Mayo though and Wayne State. They have never been the type to hype someone up or really be nice at all. Like I made a breakthrough in one of their experiments and they were just like, ok. You know they are proud of you when they aren't talking crap to you. That type of person.

So, guys, this is part of my tele strip from last night. Thought some of you might be interested, I thought it was kind of cool. 😀 Those first three beats are normal sinus rhythm, then you see three beats of ventricular bigeminy--or one sinus beat followed by a preventricular contraction (PVC). You can tell a PVC because they're wider than sinus beats and come before the normal sinus beat otherwise would. Basically means that the ventricle is contracting before the sinoatrial node (the normal pacemaker) gets a chance to fire an electric signal. I was doing this for a few hours last night, with PVCs every two to six beats. A PVC once in a while is very normal, but they aren't supposed to happen this often! Needless to say I am making an appointment with the cardiologist this week. But the moral of the story is that heart rhythms are cool and I'm really happy I work on a cardiac floor.
