no i think he meant plenty of people got rejected post-interview. A previous poster said there was only one batch of acceptances last year.did they get emails later in the week or later in the day?

ummm at least they all interviewed you, that doesn't show a ton of hate. They seem to feel luke-warm about you. I wanted nothing more in life to move back home to NY...but it appears that's not in the cards for me either. I didn't expect to get in, but this was still a huge huge blow for me. I didn't imagine it would actually hurt this badly. Why do all NYC schools hate me?!?! NYU: waitlist, Mount Sinai: waitlist, Columbia: heard nothing, Cornell: heard nothing. Sad.
Congrats to everyone who got the email!
I'm going to go soak in a pool of my own self-pity now...
Congratulations to everyone who's gotten in! I was just curious if anyone who interviewed in late february has heard any news.

St. Patrick's day luck to us all 🙂I m a little disappointed the way Cornell goes about with their admission process. They accept a select few in December and then accept another batch unexpectedly two weeks ahead of schedule while they are still interviewing. What's the point of calling them a non rolling school. Anyway, needless to say I m sure I ve been rejected because I interviewed there the 2nd week of interviews in September.

Last Friday when I called they also said they hadn't sent out all their acceptances.
Wouldn't it be nice if they only sent out a very small batch last Friday (and they all just happened to be people who post on here)?

i'm an optimist.I talked to a friend who is a 2nd year and he said that they are interviewing until march 20th, and not to expect decisions til the end of march or early april
Somone else on this thread (who knows an M1) said that Cornell is interviewing through March 20th. According to your logic they would certainly not send out another batch of acceptances this week-- it wouldn't be until the very last week of March (24-28).
They are clearly going to send out more acceptances since they're still interviewing, but i feel like for me, having interviewed in november and not getting in in december or last week, it's probably not going to be an acceptance for me. I do find it strange though that there were more SDNers with december acceptances than there were with acceptances last week; that tells me that there are still quite a few acceptances to be given out.

...when the lady says that they're still giving out acceptances she could just mean acceptances off the waitlist after May
unless you specifically asked for initial acceptances?
I mean I'm hoping you're right; I haven't received any word yet from Cornell (int. mid-Nov)
But, admissions people are sometimes charged with hiding hard truths from people and must often be less than completely open with the facts.

mine says that too, how do you know it's a waitlist and not a rejection?
My status page changed today to say "An admissions decision has been mailed to you. Please contact us if you have not received it within two weeks." Based on last year's thread, it should be a waitlist letter. Anyone else get the change?
I got the same msg and I received an acceptance email last Friday.
