Hi Everyone,

Just wondering if any of you applied to the MS-B program at CSU and received your acceptance letter!?

I just got in (YAY!!!!!!) and now I'm trying to find housing in Fort Collins (a great distraction from the final exams that I need to be studying for... oops). I was wondering if any graduate students or veterinary students are looking for a roommate? Or have any suggestions on finding housing (I'm an OOS student, so any tips would be greatly appreciated)

Thanks! Best of luck to everyone!

Congrats on your acceptance to the MS-B program MilkyWay! It's awesome! I graduated with the class of 2009, but stayed on and took some more classes through 2010. I don't know about housing (sorry🙁) but you will be on the South side of campus while you are in the program. Most of your classes will be in the Anatomy/Zoology building and Pathology building. If you can get a place on or just south of Prospect Rd. and in between Shields and College Ave, you will be in a close enough proximity to school that you can ride your bike or walk. Just east of College Ave off of Remington St is good too.
If I can give you some advice it would be this- If you haven't done animal anatomy yet that class will kick your butt first semester, so go to open lab! A lot of people think that they can pass by just studying during normal class hours, but then they choke on the first exam and don't understand why. Trust me, I was a TA in that class for 5 years. 😉
The second thing is that Mammalian Physiology I scares a lot of people because the Professor (Dr. Tamkun) seems grumpy. He's actually really nice. If you need help, don't hesitate to ask him. There is a lot to keep track of in that class so use him as a resource.
The last thing is during 2nd semester you will have to take Neuro. Dr. Fails is awesome but a difficult tester. If you do her objectives that she gives you, you will do great. She never has anything on her exams that weren't in her objectives.
Good luck on your next year here at CSU, and congratulations again!😀

Wow, thanks for the advice EveyG! Much appreciated! I'm so glad you enjoyed your time at CSU: hearing that makes me even more excited for this MS-B program (....and hopefully CSU vet school after that!)

Thanks again. Best of luck with everything 🙂
