Did they sent out vet prep status in your admission status update?

I emailed them and they told me that one of my courses didn't work for their prerequisites so that's why I didn't make it through. My guess is if you have above a 3.2 and didn't get through the 'early academic review' one of your courses didn't meet a prerequisite. (For me, it was taking Animal Anatomy & Physiology when they said it had to be just physiology, even though the class was entirely physiology.)

Ugh ok that sucks, I’m sorry. I just emailed so we’ll see what they say. Definitely super disappointing - I wish they let us know earlier so we could discuss it. As far as I know the pre-reqs seemed pretty cut and dry to me so if that’s the reason I’m going to be so annoyed 😭

After going through the thread for the class of 2028, it sounds like vet prep decisions may come out anywhere from a day to several weeks after receiving a rejection notification 😭 so that waiting continues. I guess I’ll just try to give my brain a break and stop thinking about all of this. If I get a notification for vet prep, yay, but if not we just prepare for next years application 🙂

I guess I’ll just try to give my brain a break and stop thinking about all of this. If I get a notification for vet prep, yay, but if not we just prepare for next years application 🙂

I emailed and they said all decisions have been released (including vet prep)

Actually no! 😌 I got the DVM rejection first and then in about an hour, I saw the vet prep status update pop right up on the main screen!

thank you 🥹 it's kind of crazy the main schools I was hoping for were Oregon, Washington (waitlisted), and Colorado but they seemed like LOOONG shots at best as OOS which is why I applied to so many other schools but the others were basically hard rejections!! It's an unknowable process for sure. I think my work as an equine assistant at a foaling facility was what helped me with Colorado honestly! I also had a gap year working on a dairy in Montana so maybe the western schools were amicable to that?? Either way I'm beyond shocked and grateful!!

csu is a stickler with prereqs … ik last year they straight up denied people who had incomplete prereqs at the time of application despite them stating they don’t need to be complete at the time of application
