This is a futurology kind of post, but I do sincerely wonder when the AAMC is going to updated their protocol to forbid/check for the existence any type of electronic eyeglass on the MCAT.
For those not in the know, Google Glass and similar wearable technologies, can look like regular glasses but have access to the internet that could be used by an examinee to cheat on the exam. Currently, there is nothing on the public market that would allow this to happen, but, surely within the next few years and definitely for those with the know-how, this is entirely possible and definitely problematic.
It seems like this is a highly unlikely scenario, but I don't like the sound of a computer wiz having a step up on the rest of us by connecting to the world wide web during the test. Thoughts?
