Dear C/O 2015 Adcoms,

Here we are again. Our application opens in 2 days and we are already working hard on them. Please remember these things as you read our applications:

1. We're going to be stressed and worried and panicking. We know you hear from us regularly and get sick of answering the same questions, but please don't answer us curtly. That makes us get ulcers and we think you hate us. 😱

2. Yes, we know our GPA's aren't perfect, but if you could be so kind as to look at all the other great things we did BEFORE you throw us out - We'd appreciate it. 😀

3. Please don't laugh at our attempts to be original and different from the rest of the applicants. Humor us. We're doing our best even though we end up sounding like everyone else. 🙄

4. We will submit our apps/transcripts/supplemental apps/GRE scores by the deadline....please follow your deadlines in return. (again...we are a "prone to ulcer" group...) 👍

...............anybody else have any pleas for the adcoms? Figure we might as well get them out now....

Seriously if they could just make a list of all the cliches to avoid, that'd be great. James Herriot would probably be first on the list I'd imagine.

But if you want to go to Glasgow, they loooove the James Herriot bit....😉

Minnerbelle...I think you're summer reading should be "All Things Great and Small" by James Herriot. 😀

Or starting with something along the lines of, "I've wanted to become a veterinarian since I was 5 years old"...blah, blah, blah

I'm not applying this cycle, because I feel you Adcoms would use my application to throw darts at, but I do have one thing to re-emphasize:

A lot of us messed up when we were young, dumb, naive and just didn't know what the hell was going on. Many of us are trying to make up for a wasted youth in college. I'd say most of us (non-traditionals) aren't those people anymore, but those GPA's still haunt us. Please do look at the improvements we are making every year and the experiences were are gathering that distances' us from that sub par time in our lives. Please see the people we are becoming now and the potential we really do have.

👍 If I had access to beer, I'd drink to this post.
