Hey everybody, I just wanted to chime in again. When I came last year, I stayed at the Heartland inn by the airport. $59 a night and you get a great room/pool and all. They have a free shuttle but I rented a car and I spent 2 nights interviewing, checking out the city and surrounding areas. Most people wish they would have rented a car...I would recommend it.
Des Moines is a great city with a great night life and great places to eat that won't kill your wallet. Hell if your bored, you can come over to the school and play some pool/foosball with us as we try not to go crazy with the work load. Any of you can PM me if you have any questions about the school, Des Moines or anything in general. Most of all, RELAX...
BUT bring your A game. This year's class (Class of 2010) had the highest stats in DMU history. And they WILL only go up. Interview/return secondaries
EARLY and you should do fine. This school is quickly gaining even more momentum than it already has and will be even a hotter commodity in the near future. Facilities, faculty and location is second to NONE. Oh and the students are pretty cool too.
Be excited, you should be.
Now back to biochem. Are you sure ya'll want to do this crap? Damn, this is time intensive...and freakin hard.
Best part about DMU, Bio chem is only 10 weeks long!! Thank the Lord for that. Have a good one. And remember that any of us here at DMU would love to help answer any questions you might have. Play nice and enjoy your freedom.
