Do dental school admissions committees verify LOC writers and shadowing supervisor's dental license?

Hey guys,

Sorry if my question looks a little shady. I want to know if dental school admissions committees verify the dental license of LOC writers (if they are a dentist) and shadowing supervisors (if they are a dentist). What I mean by "verify" is if they go online and check the dentist's license, or do they call the dentist up on the phone or anything? Please let me know if you have ever heard of this happening or have had it happen to you.

Here is a little background on my question. One of the dentists that I shadowed for a good amount of hours a while back wrote me a strong LOC. Obviously I am sending this LOC to AADSAS and also including the hours I shadowed with him on there as well. The only problem is that his dental license expires this June and he plans to move out of the country in August of this year to retire, so I don't know if that will look weird or mess anything up with admissions committees.

Does anyone know if dental schools will verify the license of the dentists that we put down on AADSAS? Or do they call them up frequently? Or do they rarely do anything of that nature at all? Because if they call him up then I can put down his cell phone number for them to call. But if they frequently check for licenses of each dentist of LOC's or shadowing then I am worried that since his license will no longer be valid and he will be out of the country then it would look bad.

Please give me some responses ASAP. Thank you for all of your help SDNers!

I just want to know if anyone has ever heard of them checking the dentist's license. Obviously it is not likely, I realized that. But in the case they do I am afraid my case would look strange.
