DO Match List Thread 2021

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
OSU had an 80% match rate that year and 95% match rate pre soap. If any other school performed like that on comlex it would be a disaster.

Low board pass rate due to lower quality students that fill the bottom of the class due to having to have 90% of students be in state. Not many people applying to med school from oklahoma and there is OU, OU tulsa, OSU tulsa, OSU tahlequah. They are obviously letting people in that probably wouldn't get in otherwise due to state funding stipulations.

When you have your own GME, and are state funded, your students match.

IMO a good school is one that basically guarantees your chance of practicing as a doctor where you want to practice. OSU does that for its students. Not many can say that.
ARCOM inaugural class had 85.71% first time comlex pass rate, and it wasn't a disaster with 95% placement rate post soap and 99% outside of soap. Albeit 87% true match rate though.

Edit: We just started our own GME too (IM and FM for now) which is probably how we ended up with 99%.

How does this compared to other schools?
Basically impossible to compare to other schools as the location and specialty are not linked.

My take always are that almost 70% of students from the Pomona campus matched in California. The ability to place students into California residency programs continues to be one of the biggest strength of this campus and a large reason many students choose to go there.

Not everyone wanted to stay in Cali tho 😉 !
