I'm currently an undergrad student in a 7 yr BSDO program. I plan to take the MCAT next year and switch to an MD school. I would really appreciate it if anyone can please give me some tips or advice on the following:

when is the best time to start preparing for the MCAT
what extracurriculars should I have that would really benefit my application to MD
