I have done undergraduate research in a biology lab for course credit, and I have also been an undergraduate teaching assistant for molecular biology for course credit. I was wondering if these credits would count towards my science GPA, so I called AMCAS this morning and asked; they did not give me a clear yes/no answer, saying that it depended on how the credits were classified by the undergraduate university. I currently attend Indiana University Bloomington, and both research credits and UTA credits are listed in the course catalog as "BIOL". Does this mean that it's likely that the credits will count towards the science GPA? Has anyone else been in this situation, especially those who have attended Indiana University Bloomington for undergrad? Thank you in advance for the help.
