Hi! I would just say, primarily, relax and have fun with it! Drexel did a pretty good job of pairing interviewers with us based on similar interests/activities which I thought was really cool. I had a lot of situational/"Describe a time when..." questions which I was expecting, so I think I answered those pretty well and would say prepare for those kinds of questions if you haven't already. Good luck to you!
Also, I noticed that you applied ED to UD, but also regular decision. Did UD move you to regular decision or are you still waiting to hear from them? Just curious!
Thank you for your advice! And UD told me that they did not accept me ED but that I would be looked at again during regular admissions cycle. I have not heard back yet from them

So happy to be accepted to UNE! It is pricey but I like their program and rent in Portland is very reasonable.
Did anyone interview at UMiami last Friday? Would love some insight into how the interview process was, I am super excited to interview on Friday! Would also love to hear if anyone has heard anything from the other schools I applied to 🙂
UPDATE*** ACCEPTED TO UMIAMI!!! 🙂

I was accepted. I still have an interview with NYIT on Friday but Thomas Jefferson looks like my first choice.
Yay, congratulations! I am planning on making a Facebook page for those of us who have been accepted and plan on attending, so we can get connected. Good luck with the interview and definitely keep us updated! 🙂

No I haven't either. I was hoping to but since its the last day of October, I am assuming they already made their decisions for the first rounds.

I'm surprised you haven't heard back from the others you applied to. I went to Wayne's info meeting over the summer and they said they sort by GPA and then pick the top and go from there, which I think is what most schools do anyway

I actually just got an email today saying that they have sent out all of their interview invites and will let me know by the end of the week if a slot opened up, if not then I will get the email stating that they have moved to the next part of their application process.

Good luck to you too! If you don’t mind me asking, when did you submit your app to UM and get an email about an interview?

How was the interview? What kinds of questions did you get asked? I have my interview this Friday 11/8!
The interview was great I absolutely fell in love with the program! They start with a brief intro and discussion of the program then we got split up into groups. My schedule was campus tour 9:00-10:00, facility tour 10:00-11:00, and interview 11:00-12:00. There were some people who had the interview first right at 9. The tours are led by students which is great because you have a ton of time to interact with them and ask them questions. They do a good job explaining how the program works and talking about their experiences. All of them are extremely welcoming and friendly.

The interview was probably only 45 minutes and it was one on one with a professor. Mine was very conversational and easy! He first asked me to just tell him about myself, I'm in my last year of undergrad for athletic training so he asked a lot of questions about that. I obviously got asked the obvious why Miami? Other questions were tell me about an interesting patient case you've had and how you handled it? Have you ever been in a group and had someone not pull their weight and how did you handle it? How do you study and how do you manage stress? A lot of the other questions were very much based on me and my application, asking about some of my personal experiences with my clinical rotations and questions about playing college soccer. Then he asked if I had any questions I asked at least 4-5 and we talked about those for a while.

I talked to other applicants who were there interviewing after though and some of them were asked questions about where they think PT is headed and another was asked about PT legislation issues but I didn't get anything like that, probably depends on who interviews you.

Before the interview Miami wasn't really on my radar as one of my top choices but now I will likely be attending!! The campus is absolutely beautiful and it's a great program.

Thank you so much! This is my first interview so I’m excited, yet nervous. I heard they send out letters 3ish weeks after interviews, how long did they take for you to find out after the interview?

No problem! I interviewed on Friday and was accepted on Tuesday so only a few days! Good luck!

Nice, congrats on the acceptances! When did you apply to Pitt and hear back? Are you interested in their dual degree program or just DPT?
I applied to Pitt in mid-August, and I heard from them on Oct 17. I know they do rolling admissions. I was just interested in their DPT, but I didn't want to commit to their deposit by Nov 1, so I'm giving up my seat.

They wanted money by November 1st? Interesting. Per the traffic rules, programs can’t require a deposit until January 15.
