To anyone who has interviewed and been accepted at Drexel, how long did it take to get your acceptance letter? They told us 6-8 weeks, but I hope that is conservative.

It took less than four weeks for me.

The letter was dated exactly 3 weeks after I interviewed.

My acceptance letter came exactly four weeks from the time of my interview.

Ahhh.. yes, but when did you quick turn-around people interview? I feel like Drexel has been getting more and more behind as the season progresses.

I interviewed at the end of October and my acceptance was dated Nov. 15. Yes, they may be getting farther behind, but they may also be holding applications for review later. Either way, we'll all hear from them eventually.

I interviewed Nov 13th and my invite was dated Dec 4.

I heard back about three and bit weeks after my interview, but I live in Philly so...

At any rate, good luck everyone!! :luck: :luck: I hoping you all hear back (good news) before the holiday.

I just got my first acceptance --- DREXEL!!!!!!!

Congrats Mlaza! Hey can someone tell me what kind of grading system Drexel has. Is it letter based or P/F??

I just got my first acceptance --- DREXEL!!!!!!!

My timeline goes as follows:

Complete when my August MCAT came out.

Interview: Dec. 1
Accepted: Dec 16

** Note: the school told me it was going to be between 4-6 weeks and it was only 2 ***

My stats: 3.57 cum, 3.42 bcpm, 28Q

Good luck to all applying and maybe ill see you next year?!

That is awesome! Congrats! Looks like there is still hope for me to hear something before the end of the year as well (i'm also an early December interviewee). Excellent. I believe that they are finished wish interviews for December, so perhaps they are redoubling efforts towards making decisions. 👍

Drexel made a decision on my application on Dec. 7th (I interviewed 11/14). However, they said they could not tell me over the phone what the decision actually was. I am still waiting and it's driving me crazy. How long does it take for them to mail an envelope?

Anyone go thorugh a similar route? Call, find out a decision was made, and then get the letter (good or bad?) How long did they take?

Don't say that!! I am in the same situation as you, only frameshift mutated a week ahead - letter was mailed this past wednesday.

Interviewed first week of October, still have not heard a peep. :scared:

Over 10 weeks after being told 2-3. I couldn't even begin to tell you what that means. Sigh.

Wow, that's one heck of a wait. ( I've been only waiting 4 weeks at this point for what it's worth.) Hope you have some good news soon.

Well, I can't tell you what it means either. But, based upon the postings of people who have been accepted, I would take this as not good news.

Most people who have been accepted have heard within 3 -4 weeks of their interview. I don't know what their system is, but obviously people who have been accepted hear back way faster than people who are not.

Hey mlaza, I was there with you on 12/1. Congrats on the acceptance! And it's pretty great that you heard so fast--obviously Drexel really wants you! 😎

Based on my experiences so far, I don't take anything as good news. 🙁

for those of you who got accepted...did you find out about the decision online through the status page or did you receive a letter through snail mail?

I haven't been accepted, but I know that all notifications come via snail mail. Status page won't change even if, and after, you're accepted.

Well, just got an acceptance letter today (my first one)! And after 10 1/2 weeks, so don't lose hope guys. 😍

Just wondering if anyone has received a decision from Drexel within the last couple of weeks. I had my interview 8 weeks ago and am still waiting.

Good luck to everyone 👍

About 4 weeks for me and no news (although I havn't really expected to hear so soon.) I'm guessing your news will be coming any time now. Good luck!

Hey, I just logged on to the web page and noticed that my "View Interview Appointment" link has just been removed. I wonder if this means that something has now happened with my application, like maybe its been or is being processed now? Anyone else know the timing of when the their link was removed/changed?

I recall that when my view application link changed on the VCU website it was followed the following day by a rejection. I know, different school. Just nervous. Perhaps something is a foot. :scared:

How did u guys get ur interview invites? was it online or via snail mail. I called the school, the woman said a decision has been made but wouldn't tel me the nature of the decision. Is this a bad news? or what?

I know that Drexel won't give out any information about a decision over the phone, good or bad. I found out about my invite by checking my status page (a link appears that says "Schedule Your Interview"). They also email most applicants to let them know about interview invites (although I never got the email). Keep checking online. Good luck! :luck:

My invite to interview came via email. Hate to say it but, "decision rendered" without an interview doesn't sound good. I may be wrong though...good luck!:luck:

Mine did the same thing.

I know of someone that got accepted to Drexel and it was 11 weeks from the time of interview to acceptance.

I know of someone that got accepted to Drexel late December and the interview was 11 weeks prior to that.

Ditto to the interview link going away. I assume it is more just of a system change. They are slow with everything so maybe they just designed their system to take away the interview link 1 month or x days after the appointment/invitation.
Who knows.

Yep, you should get an email/status change on the website that tells you about being invited for an interview, I never received snail mail about an invite.

However, once you've interviewed and a decision is made, it's given to you only via snail mail. And in my case, it was truly snail (10 weeks). But it turned out to be good news, so try not to freak out like I did (I had some really snotty premed acquaintances telling me 'Oh, well it's obvious they don't want you' all the way up until I got my letter and really let it affect me way too much). Even now the status page says "Decision unavailable." 🙂

If you want to find out whether they've already made a decision, you can email their Med Admissions office or call them. The first time I called, I don't think the gentlemen that answered knew what was going on. But I emailed them after 9 weeks, and I received a response the following day with "You will be receiving a letter shortly." But they won't let the cat out until the letter arrives.

Good luck! 👍

My interview was Nov. 21, and my acceptance letter was dated Dec. 18. Don't lose hope, one of the admissions reps told me that they are very backlogged.

Thanks for your responses everybody. Maybe I just have a couple more weeks of waiting to go. Hope everyone got to enjoy the warm weather this weekend! 🙂

Seems like there are a number of people with a 4 week turn around time like that now, if this holds true, I may hear something soon!

Did anyone send letters of interest/intent to Drexel post-interview (aside from sending thank you notes)? Do you think it helped? Just wondering as this topic was brought up in the "Letter of Intent Success Stories" thread.
