what was the area code they called from so i could be on the lookout and not assume them to be a spam caller? so i guess this is the first round of acceptances considering that at my interview they said we wouldn't find out until the first thursday in june

it is 215. Comes from Steven Rodgers as does the acceptance e-mail

Interview date?
 
So for those of us who are still waiting to hear back from this program, what are we supposed to do in terms of AMCAS submission? If we get accepted to this program, we're only allowed to apply to Drexel, but the AMCAS opens for submission in like 1 week.

I would advise that you go ahead and apply on the first day AMCAS opens so you can begin the ~4-6week verification process.
Worst case scenario: You are not offered a spot in ththe DPMS program; at least your application is in early!
Best case scenario: You get offered a spot and if you accept you can simply withdraw your AMCAS application; since it’s an agreement offer you do not need to reapply to DUCOM via AMCAS.

aren't they supposed to call? I don't expect anything until next week since at my interview they mentioned the first Thursday in June
 
Anyone know specifically how they enforce the 'only apply to drexel med school' rule?
If I apply to other med schools now, is there a risk that if I get in they'll somehow know I applied and I'll have to withdraw the applications?
I suspect it's best to wait until hearing back from drexel before sending out primaries

You can submit your primary now, but only add Drexel. You’ll eventually have to submit your primary again anyway. But for DPMS, they want you to select something for Drexel...I forgot what it is exactly. If you apply to any other schools, they will definitely know (and your contract would be voided before you even started).

So you think the rest of us are hearing back tomorrow then? When did you interview?

Not necessarily, based on previous forums it is a slow process. They don't send a mass email first, they do individualized phone calls and then they send the mass email after another week or so. I interviewed on May 24th.
 
Does anyone know if they call if you've been rejected too? Or are they just calling accepted students? Trying to prepare myself for the inevitable

They only call accepted, it doesn't make sense to call rejected students. Based on previous forums, rejected students would have their portal updated.
 
Last year, the second round of applicants received their acceptance letters (sent via email) on a Sunday.

If you have any questions about the program, please feel free to hit me up privately. I'll be matriculating into the medical school this August.

You should be hearing back now or in the next week, we're creating the final list of students by the end of the week!

I was a Track 2 in 2016 and it was 90/95% matriculation for us. For Track 1's is varies more

If you get in, you'll do your AMCAS profile in September for DUCOM. It's pretty easy and just for the school to keep track of who's in the offical class.
 
If anyone has any questions, you can message me privately! I'm helping for the Summer Sessions for the 2018 group and I'm a DPMS alum--going on to 2nd year now!
 
For those that got accepted today when did you interview?
 
HexMed's responses probably gave some people a heart attack.

Be sure to check your emails too. Last year, the second wave of acceptances came via email. We did not get a phone call.

Sorry for the confusion, I'm just excited for everyone. The phone calls are a new thing this year, I think for a more personal touch. Almost everyone in my year got an email notifying us of our acceptance.
 
I got a call this morning from Thelicia Hill, DPMS Academic Administrator, stating that we should have word on acceptances by the end of the day Friday, 5/8/18. That does fall inline with what HexMed13 wrote. Something to look forward indeed!!Good luck everyone!
