Being a lurker on this board now that I have started medical school, I read a lot of comments people have regarding their interviews at Drexel Med. Having a lot of pride in my school, I feel the need to respond to some of those comments.
The one that has been said that is currently irking me is the "down time" between interviews/presentations. Of course things would be boring if you sat in one room all day!!!
But, I feel that this is done for a reason... Lisa (director of admissions) puts a schedule up on the board for lectures that you can go watch. Go to a lecture!!! This is a great way to feel out the faculty and talk to some students. Wander around the school-- people are always in the cafeteria or hallways-- ask them some questions about the school.
You are not chained to the admissions office while you are there. You should be there and ready to go for your interview time, but otherwise, get a feel for the school.
Be proactive, make the best of your time there, and enjoy!
