I'm subletting my 4 star hotel studio for the summer. It's less than two mins by foot from Drexel Med's New College Building (where all your orientation, and classes are) in Center City, and about 5 mins by car or public transportation to UPenn. Private studio available in Windsor Hotel (17th and Benjamin Franklin Parkway, 1700 Benjamin Franklin Parkway, Philadelphia, 19103), less then two minutes from Hahnemann/Drexel Medical College Center City Campus by foot) from July 1, 2006 to August 31, 2006. Apartment includes free full utilities (including cable TV and AC), two full walk-in closets, private bathroom (shower and bathtub), kitchen includes oven, full size refrigerator, and microwave, and laundry facilities are located on the same floor (dry cleaners are across the street). Studio has a gorgeous view of the St. Petersburg Cathedral, Free Library, and all of Philadelphia (the room is located on the 17th floor of the hotel). Studio will not be furnished, but I can make arrangements to leave a futon bed, pots, pans, utensils, table and two chairs, upon request (there will be no extra charge). I am a non-smoker, but this studio is open to smoking or non-smoking tenants. Price is $1,005 per month.
Hotel amenities are four star ratings, with 24-hour door attendant and security, swimming pool, 24-hour access to hotel gym, loading dock, and free daily newspaper. House cleaning and room services are available. Parking structure attached next to hotel with valet (approx. $160 per month).
Located in the same building are two restaurants (Asia on the Parkway and Peacock on the Parkway, room service is available from both), gift shop, beauty salon, Dunkin Donuts, and Wawa convenience store/mini-mart (open 24 hours). Subway Sandwiches and TGIF restaurants are directly across the street. City Hall and all museums are four minutes away by foot. The hotel studio is located in Center City, considered the heart of Philadelphia's business and cultural district (there isnt a safer place in Philadelphia). It is fifteen minutes from Philadelphia International Airport, less than a mile from the 30th Street Train Station, and less than 3 minutes on foot to Surburban Train Station.
