hi all,
im on the drexel waitlist (only chance acceptance this year). i was wondering if anybody had any idea as to how many people they usually accept? an educated estimate would be great because i really have no idea if the number is like 300 or 500 or even maybe 750 (for a class of 250). i know they over-accepted last year and had a class of 281 when they want more like 250. if they can support a class of 281, why dont they just have that many people in the class? i cant think of a good reason why they would want to accept less people given the rising number of qualified applicants and the fact that more students equals more money. after all the most important thing at a private institution is the bottom line.
also, how many people do you think are actually waitlisted? we have approximately 22 on this thread. i would guess that it is about 75??? i would also guess that there arent more than 20 people a year who get in off the waitlist??? im just curious how many people i have to beat out and what my realistic chances are, although i do wish you guys the best of luck (unless you are a prick like a lot of premeds). any help would be appreciated. thanks
ps- i know drexel offered applicants a ten grand reduction in tuition if they deffered a year. did anybody actually take them up on this offer? if so, how many people?
