The worst part of this whole conversation is I am now trying to come up with a list of all the zebra reasons WZ would be on blood thinners.

Sickle cell? She doesn't look black, maybe Jewish... maybe a little hidden middle east in there... but I wouldn't have guessed... need weirder....

Hahaha. I actually am Jamaican. Not sure what the proportion of sickle cell carriers looks like in that particular population. But anyway, no, Factor V Leiden, had a blood clot in my brain, blood thinner for life.

Jamaicans are largely descended from Africans, so they've got a lot of the same genetic conditions. But you've got the added bonus of being American as **** and having a really interesting heritage, so pretty much any disease can pop up.

Definitely metal. And that's a good one. We don't have it available to us in vet med yet really because it's so expensive. Waiting on the generic

Well, I get to see if I escape the mod-wrath tonight alive or not.

Sorry for not checking in, was working all freaking day. Plus the boss was at the job I usually check in on my phone during, so today I couldn't do that :/

Few quick notes:
1. Curious to see if injuries arise from my inactivity today
2. Curious if this means all dragons cannot be converted or just Dy?
3. I was really convinced Gwen was a villager. Which I guess she was. In the beginning.

Tonight was a difficult night for the people of Pern. Many tried to perform tasks but were too injured to do so. With their healers dead and buried, their prospects of being healed look slim. Some took delight in their weakness however, and used the opportunity to wreak havoc. One man however was not so afflicted, and managed to complete his task despite his injury, and it paid off! He had finally found what he'd been looking for, but unfortunately they found him too. A quick struggle and it was over.

Dead is BBC - F'nor, brown dragonrider, who each night could determine the affiliation of another player.

With a roar of anger swiftly followed by despair, brown Canth leapt into the air and disappeared between forever.

Dead is katashark - Canth, brown dragon of F'nor who could PM with his rider.

It is now Day 6. Deadline is 9pm CST/10pm EST.

Flying a bunch today. Want to get a vote in early. Figure the threadfall data is a good place to start. Word vomit incoming.

Fort's injury (BBC) may be from Gwen withdrawing N1 tithe. Telgar/Southern didn't have any injuries. Tillek had three, explained by the missing tithes N1 and N4 and the shutters blocking the tithe N2.

Ruatha had two injuries--one from a missed night, the other unaccounted for. I'm assuming one of Promo, STB, or RM withdrew. (I know the injuries=missed tithes theory isn't confirmed, but it has fit the numbers so I'm running with it.) I know villagers can withdraw tithes, but it seems more likely to be wolfy.

Promo- I'm comfortable marking Promo as village at least up until this morning. Sounds like he tried to rez a seer last night via Sandy's tithe--he'd alluded to it on thread, the write-up when night was cancelled said someone was trying to rez, and he was obviously upset about the cancellation and loss of the last chance we knew of to use the ability.

STB- She's been low on my list. But she's absolutely a strong player and the kind who would be very good at seeming village if a wolf. The attempt to steal her ability N1 failed, I'm wondering why. I don't believe she was protected, since I'm guessing MQ was protecting Guis N1. We know she wasn't tithing. Is there something intrinsic about her role that would prevent ability stealing? Makes me kind of twitchy. Overall though, I can't find much of anything suspicious in her post history and if she's village, I'd hate to lose her.

RM- He threw out a vote for Gwen in the lynch cycle before last, while most of us were focused on Hmoo. And he was bopped and blocked on a double kill night. But yesterday, he waited until Gwen's coffin was virtually underground before adding his lynch vote, and then switched to PBC ---immediately after STB said she didn't necessarily want to vote Gwen but didn't see the bandwagon going anywhere in the last 12 minutes. Part of me wonders if it might have been an attempt to pave the way for a last minute mass switch off of Gwen. The rest of me thinks a wolf would have called the game on Gwen at that point, and wouldn't want to risk voting elsewhere.

Lynch RM --not 100% sold on it, but it's the best guess I can get from the injury info.

can't believe i have spent so much time continuing to read this thread.
Just wasted what precious little time I had this morning.

Note to mods: I should have been replaced in instead of mod-kills. just sayin.

A wolf would have called the game and blended in at that point. Any wolf worth their salt would have called it two hours prior when the bandwagon was already in play. I am a villager.

Interesting. I said in my Hold PM yesterday that I had feels for Kam, and was seconded in that. Today, Kam is flying a bunch and not terribly able to defend, and lists me as a possible wolf.

I originally put out the question of whether missed tithes = injuries in the holds, but I hadn't meant that I thought it applied on the tithe level, as Kam has interpreted it. Rather, I thought that just as tithes seem to be pooled and distributed, so could the injuries. So, we might have cause to think that a tithe was rescinded somewhere, but there is no certainty about which hold it happened in.

Basing an RM lynch on late voting for someone other than Gwen is weak. No one wanted to lynch a villager, and it was giving many of us pause. The only thing that swayed me to keep my vote there was the probability of conversion ...which I had first said was going to play a role.

I have a busy schedule today and an exam tomorrow. I'll be here as much as I can.

Now that we have seen that dragon loss can cause conversion in a rider...

I heard a rumor early on about three plotting against Pern, in two factions. Two were wolves, and one was something else.
I heard another rumor later about two conversions. One was already lost to us, but one could have been saved (if they heard the voice of their partner.)

I think Gwen could have been converted back if Dy had been resurrected.
DVMD's role claim is a rider who lost a Dragon. SOV told our Hold that they'd seen the role, but didn't assign it to a person. DVMD claimed it. I assumed village, without question, but... if it was a chaos role to start, would that have shown in SOV's seering?

I don't have a lot of credibility to call down a lynch on DVMD, but I think it is worth a second thought.

To defend someone who I just called into question... reading the rest of the wikia article on his role's life makes him sound pretty benign.

The only thing that I have to go on is the lost dragon = crazed rider converts theory. It is not solid evidence of anything.

I've been injured. no idea where it's come from, it's simply mentioned in my PM as "Luckily, despite your debilitating injury[...]"

We have discussed this in my hold...T'kul's Wikipedia page basically says he went crazy from his grief after the death of Salth, and attempted to kill F'lar. Other dragon riders get very depressed if their dragons die, but dont seem to "go bad". Hopefully Gwen's conversion was character specific, but we aren't entirely sure.

I'm forgetting things already, were you not hit by thread?

Gonna have to go back and read those walls of text when I'm a little more awake. It's not a competition to see who can type the most, guys 😛

Based on my role description from the mods, I'd actually lynch anyone who tries to claim my dragon as their role, I have reason to doubt my dragon even exists in this game.

You guys, AM is all up in my feels. See quote from yesterday:

I didn't forget. I thought that saying "I could tithe" would be enough since no one else was going to. I'll bold from now on.

I'm not going to decide against tithing and refuse to tell my group.

And she posted in our hold chat this morning that her tithe was rescinded.

I have to go into work early to cover a coworker. I'll be in later this afternoon, but I can't check in at work.

I did exactly what I bolded. I told the group when I rescinded. You seem to really be gunning for me to be lynched...

Why not just not volunteer then? I mean yeah I think it would be kind of dumb for a wolf to tell the group that they rescinded after the fact but...

and lists me as a possible wolf.

Um, what? Did you even read what I wrote? I specifically said I was confident you are village. I said the same thing in my hold PM last night.

I've also been pushing hard against Gwen, and when you brought up yesterday that you didn't think she was a wolf, I reminded everyone, not for the first time, that she had to have used her block against Hmoo despite having claimed not to. While you and others were saying "oh, I dunno, I think she'll come back village", I posted multiple times pushing to lynch her, starting immediately after Hmoo was lynched.

Today, Kam is flying a bunch and not terribly able to defend

Nor did I say this. I'm perfectly capable of defending and am not particularly worried about getting lynched. I said I wanted to get an early start. Yes, I'm flying back to Boston, no, you will not be able to railroad me assuming I won't check in, I have layovers.

You were not the only person who has theorized what the injuries mean. The theory that the injuries equal the number of times a hold didn't tithe has been discussed before. Just look at Tillek--we know for a fact they missed tithing three times. They have three injuries. The theory is supported by the data we have. And it makes quite a lot of sense, considering the source material, that the consequences of a hold choosing to tithe or not will be felt by those within the hold. There wouldn't be much incentive to tithe if some other group could slack off every night and your hold would be the ones screwed by it.

I thought I did volunteer by bolding my name.

Yes it was.
WZ was saying that the hold should have been informed that you were not going to tithe and so someone else should have been given the opportunity to take your spot.

Fort's injury (BBC) may be from Gwen withdrawing N1 tithe. Telgar/Southern didn't have any injuries. Tillek had three, explained by the missing tithes N1 and N4 and the shutters blocking the tithe N2.
Why would she have withdrawn the N1 tithe though? She was a villager at that time if she didn't convert until after dy died. I can't remember what Fort's tithe schedule was. We should look at who was supposed to tithe N2 and N4.

Interesting. I said in my Hold PM yesterday that I had feels for Kam, and was seconded in that. Today Kam is flying a bunch and not terribly able to defend, and lists me as a possible wolf.
Did you really read her post? She didn't list you as a possible wolf at all. She was going through the options for rescinded tithes in your hold based on her theory (whether you think it's valid or not). She had you as the least likely wolf.

We're on such a roll.

.

Yeah, I'm definitely not confident on what happened in Gwen's hold, but since I was more sure about Ruatha I started there. Both Gwen and BBC claimed injuries. Gwen could have been lying, I'm not sure, so that's either 1 injury or 2.

Their tithe schedule was:
N1: Gwen
N2: BBC
N3: Gwen (we know for a fact this one went through)
N4: STL

Everyone who was supposed to tithe is now dead. So no real use looking for whoever withdrew there. Will be a dead end either way.

Ah. I understand now. Yeah. I guess that was a pretty dumb move.

And here I was thinking you said yesterday you were 100% certain she's a villager.
If you want to lynch her so bad just do it, but bringing her up every other post, all without actually doing anything about it is getting distracting. Do you want us to focus on hunting wolves or not? Are you 100% sure she's a villager or not? And if not, why did you make it seem that way yesterday?
I am going

Lynch PBC

she was on BBC's short list the other day and PBC had claimed the cancelled night she was going to show me what she could do. I haven't seen anything that indicates villager as of yet.
@PrincessButterCup did you try using your role again last night since you weren't able to with the canceled night?

Yeah, I'm definitely not confident on what happened in Gwen's hold, but since I was more sure about Ruatha I started there. Both Gwen and BBC claimed injuries. Gwen could have been lying, I'm not sure, so that's either 1 injury or 2.

She lied about a couple things that she probably would have been better off not lying about, so I'm comfortable with thinking she probably lied about being injured. But that doesn't explain BBC's injury. Hmmm. Wish they weren't all dead.

Oh, for the "a wolf wouldn't switch their vote that close to the end" etc etc in regards to RM. A wolf also knows that we all expect the other wolves to be on the bandwagon when a wolf is clearly going down. So reversing that expectation could be good play. Just sayin.
