Maybe because he was trying to use the blocking to clear people in case you both are villagers? I can't speak for him, but it makes sense to me.

Please remember lupin pointed out that LIS does not make sense for the tall shape that killed her, and based on the fact that everyone who has died the last three days was stabbed (same MO as lupin's death) I don't think it was vmh doing the kill that night. LIS is the only way we have to clear people right now...

DVMD and Promo both injured. Neither with a reason to lie.

RM, Promo, and STB tithed, one night missed. No reason for Promo or STB to lie. We're now sure RM isn't an original wolf or chaos, and N1 couldn't have been the convert. So he had no reason to lie.

One missing tithe, two injuries, and it's driving me up the wall that I can't figure out why.

The only thing I can think that would stop a tithe would be a block. LIS posted his block list, and any of the 3 of them who were blocked would have posted it.

Huh? Kam was the one explicitly telling DVMD that lynching Promo was a bad move, unless I'm misunderstanding what you're referring to.

Because if you are a wolf, then Lupin is probably a wolf, which means blocking one of you only has a 50% chance of getting the one that is doing the killing. Thus, a pretty unreliable test.

Whereas, if you are a villager, then there is probably just the one wolf left (seems to be what most people are thinking). So, blocking Deva was a <good> test that <most likely> clears Deva.

So, we got more actionable info from blocking Deva.

Lynching you is an easy test of identifying Lupin's likely affiliation.

Thus, but blocking Deva and lynching you, we get two people 'ruled out' (as best we can, anyway) for the cost of one villager - if that's what you turn out to be. And if you don't .... then we netted a wolf.

It is purely a rational way to look at it. If you can't understand that, then you're not being objective enough.
