Does the interview day definitely ends at 2:30? as in does the tour of the school takes up the whole hour as the schedule shows (1:30-2:30)?I have a bus to catch in Christianburg at 2:55 (only bus available that day), google maps tells me that its a 10 min drive from the school to "Christiansburg, VA, Route 460 Roanoke Rd, Park and Ride opp Hubbell Drive"...any local here or someone who knows the area pretty well? Is it usually easy to get a cab in the VCOM area? Thanks

My interview day finished late, maybe 30 minute later around 3:00. I wouldn't count on being done by 2:30. The tour can vary in length because you're driving around campus and Blacksburg. You can't really peace out after the interview either because the day ends with an information session that has a lot of good info.

Also, if you want a cab you'd have to call one and arrange the transportation beforehand. VCOM sits in a research park and the likelihood of being able to hail a cab off the street is really really really low.

Thanks for the info @DJones13 . I plan on calling Ms Sampson on Monday and see what she recommends. I'll also check with cab companies in the area and see. It would be ideal for me to be able to leave that day and not miss 3 days of work.

anyone here interviewing tomorrow March 17th staying at the Comfort Inn?? (3705 S. Main St.
Blacksburg, VA, US, 24060)

Random question, anyone know what accepted students day dress code is like? I was thinking business casual?

Anybody know how VCOM did with match day? Does VCOM publish this information?

Yea this was VCOM's strongest match since its first class. They will be publishing it soon in their yearbook like they have done in the past.

Oops! I've just signed in and found out that my inbox was filled with unread messages. 😕 I apologize if my answers to your questions were too late!

By the way, I attended the Accepted Student day at the Virginia campus more than a week ago. Therefore, I just want to let you all know that THERE ARE STILL SEATS LEFT! We were told that the Adcom was still waiting for students' final decisions about choosing VCOM. Please don't lose hope yet!

One more thing I want to point out that is the residency match for this year was >99% (from what I was told during that day event). If the two students that they were waiting actually got into somewhere, the rate would be 100% matched. WAIT WHAT!????:bow::bow:
ATTENTION: We were not allowed to photograph the match list. Though I saw more matched to MD programs than DO's (Correct me if I'm wrong). VERY BELIEVABLE, anyway! Some neurosurgery residencies at very reputable hospitals in the country!

Keep calm and receive the acceptance soon, you all!

Thanks for the optimistic update. Would you happen to know how much longer VCOM will be interviewing?

Do you know when those accepted students have to give their final word/deposit by? I'm guessing that would be when most wait list applicants would hear right?

?

Thanks so much for the great update!! Did they say when they would rank the waitlist or anything about that?

Thanks!

No problem! I'm not sure about the ranking of waitlisting students or the last interview day. Though the website indicates this:

Hope this helps!

If any of you are interested in any specific programs that VCOM students got matched into during this year's match, message any OMS1 to see if they would be kind enough to take a peak in the admin office!?!

Best,

Best,

Just wanted to let people know this does not necessarily mean there will be movement. Sending in health records is as easy as faxing documents. I believe the time from acceptance we had about 1 month to submit our deposit and some forms.

The class is pretty much full right now and they haven't even added all the post-bac students I believe. Seats will open up soon like any other year but this year the VA-campus had a record high number of applications so just hold tight and be patient!

The match list was very impressive with more than half the students going into MD residencies...and many were in university programs too.

Good-luck and PM with questions if you have any!

Sorry, what does the website indicate? For some reason the message cuts off at..."Though the website indicates this:......" and then picks up at, "Hope this helps!" What does the website indicate?

Thank you!

Accepted students have one month from the time they get their acceptance letter to submit their deposit. After that its just a matter of sending their transcripts and and health forms by a certain date listed.

Idk if there is a specific date that everybody has to pick a school which causes WL movement.

Does anyone know how much longer VCOM will be interviewing for?

I'm sorry for the misunderstanding. By "indicate," I meant the deadline kinda gives us a sense of when the strict deadline would be. The reason I posted it was because VCOM is extremely strict with turning health records and transcripts in. Unless one gest an extension deadline, VCOM has every right to withdraw the acceptance from those who do not comply with the acceptance letter form/agreement (via snail mail).

Best,

Traffic guidelines state those accepted between Jan 15 and May 14 have two weeks to accept and submit a deposit. May 15 and beyond may be asked for an immediate deposit.

Yeah! I totally forgot about this!

Post bac doesnt use aacomas - sep app on post bac webpage on vcom website

Does anyone have any info on the post bacc program? how many students are accepted? is the class full yet? Can the lor i sent to the osteopathic school be recycled?
