i would send a letter of intent to show commitment to the school, they stressed that this really helps! they also expect about ~40+ people to drop by the end of April so hopefully there will be more movement

you apply to one campus and give your preference in the secondary. 2 LORs required, one has to be a science professor.

I attended interview day on Monday, and while they did not specifically say they rank their waitlist, they do "handpick" people from the waitlist. Did not get more specific than that, but they said it's not ranked, and it's not necessarily working from first on the waitlist to last. They also mentioned reserving 25-30 seats for next year so that those unable to matriculate this year would be guaranteed a spot in next year's class. The dean asked those who write a LOI to be honest about VCOM being their number one choice because that will factor into who will get an automatic spot next year if the class remains full by the FDOC.

Hey, so yes I honestly did both & I have very close ties with the region. Additionally, I was waitlisted last cycle which I think probably helped me a good bit.

They called me to tell me I have a guaranteed acceptance for next year and said I would get a letter in the mail in the next couple of weeks with the information and a deposit would be due in November. Unless a spot does end up opening for this year, then they would give me another call.

If you read a few posts above you some were offered guaranteed acceptance next year. Have they offered that to you?

Nope I haven’t! But I did received “extremely interested and if I don’t get a seat this year they will consider me for early admission for next year” when I first received waitlist email

I would definitely reapply then now. I would assume if they are taking anyone off waitlist it will be those who posted stating they were told if they don't get off waitlist they are guaranteed a seat in next year's class.

Orientation is 14/15 and classes officially start the 16th
