Ok, I'm a dork and I had free time since nobody showed up for genetics tutoring, so I stalked Emory's website. The woodruff scholarships are awarded in march, so I assume they interview for them in april (maybe during the revisit days) and so they should be inviting people to interview now/already invitied people. I'm still going to e-mail Erica about it just to make sure.

if awarded in march how do you interview for them in april? that's a month late, ie they give it to ppl pre-interview and then interview just for the motions.
 
They aren't awarded in March. You are told if you are one of the 15 people they are going to interview for the scholarship in March. Out of those 15, 5 MD students and 2 MD/PHD students get the scholarship.

Planning on it, but Vandy's is April 20-22. I'm going to try to make both, but I don't know if I can pull it off. Anyone know when stuff on Friday will be done?
 
Congrats all, though you're making me compulsively check the mail.

Any idea what % are accepted after this round? I know my host said he wasn't accepted until March, but I feel like a little bit of my hopes are dying each round.

C'mon Emory, don't leave me hanging!

i've resigned myself to waiting for next cycle of acceptances as i'm pretty sure if it was mailed on the 30th of january it would behere by now even if i lived in timbuktu.
 
Does anybody know if Emory will be offering any more interviews, and, if so, until when?

Hi XildUPNawth - I don't want to break the bad news to you, but I know Emory will be done interviewing at the end of the month. Maybe something will come up between now and then for you, but Emory is always done interviewing by the end of February.

Thanks for telling me. It does make me sad but I'm glad to know anyway.
 
don't worry, one thing that'll make you happier is that you won't have to pay a ridiculous 60k to attend emory. Oh yeah, they're raising all Emory schools by like an adjusted percentage, as if the tuition here isn't enough. Go eagles!!
 
oh my gosh! i didn't realize, i've been foolishly searching for the last rounds that i thought got lost in the mail(which it didn't i just pretended). weird. tuesday, eh?
 
If someone gets a letter please post it so we all know about when to stop checking our mail boxes.

60K after housing, fees, etc is pretty standard I think. So unless you are at a state school or get some scholarship, you'll have a hard time avoiding that one :laugh:

Is that right? Everyone has been saying they went out a few weeks ago -- or is this already the next round? Anyone have that sheet in front of them that Emory gave out on interview day?

I called the office of admissions yesterday (Tuesday 2/20), and they told me that they mailed out the February round of acceptances on MONDAY 2/19. So that's the news. Let us know if/when you receive something - fingers are crossed here!

I'm in ATL too, but I was a fool and didn't check my mailbox yesterday!!! :scared: :luck: :laugh: Let's hope I have a nice surprise waiting for me today. When did you interview? I interviewed way back in October. I think I'm getting more anxious as I know the season is winding down. CONGRATS AGAIN!!!!

Are you a GA resident, or just living there? Maybe you could stop by their office and tell them that CA residents like acceptances too.

I interviewed 10/27...

😀 I interviewed on 10/23 - Yes, I'm a GA resident and I work at Emory!!! If I'm over in that direction I'll put in a good word for ya. 😀 I was once a CA resident too.
 
did anyone interview in january and get a letter already?
 
i didn't but i know someone who did. he interviewed in the first week of jan and heard back/was accepted at last cycle ie end of jan. i am still waiting and i interviewed in the first week of jan/the first day of interviews after winter break.
 
Last chance is just around the corner!:scared: I think they are done interviewing now aren't they? Maybe they will look through the stack and take some ppl they interviewed awhile ago since they havn't interviewed as many in this last time period. Anybody know if they do that?

They're done. 🙁 I got the pre-interview rejection yesterday.
