Gosh, I hate that school. Why is it so hard to get in? I got rejected presecondary cuz I didn't make the prelim cut off of 29 mcat. the gpa cut off is 3.5, and i have a 4.0 at a university.. yes 4.0 BCPM. argh, all cuz of verbal. WTF.. thats so messed up. I have an R on the writing portion, so obviously I'm not a fob. I hate Wayne State!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'll show em when I become the most famous whatever physician, and tell everyone Wayne State is an @$$

if they wanted atleast 3.5 gpa, and 29 mcat, they should at least put it on their stupid website. Hello, I'm not rich. geez

Are you in-state or out-of-state? I highly doubt you were rejected presecondary solely based on your MCAT... in fact, i know people who have gotten in to Wayne State with less than a 29. Have you spoken with the office of admissions?

My friend got a secondary last year with a 26 MCAT and a 3.12 GPA out of state...not URM

Did they tell you that it was your MCAT? specifically? When we had the pre-med symposium, Dr. Norman, the Dean of admissions said that they would like to see a 9 on every section...for a minimum cumulative of 27...but that it wasn't a hard and fast cut off. Maybe they didn't feel that your verbal score was good enough...or they didn't like your AMCAS essay...there are other reasons than just numbers you know.

I find it difficult to believe WSU (or any school for that matter) would have a "hard cutoff" for certain numbers. Sure, if you have a 2.0GPA and a combined MCAT score of 20, then maybe they won't even have to look at the rest of the stuff, but if you're a point or two off, I'm sure they'll look at the other stuff too, like your ECs and essays. But I guess you'd have to really impress them with those other qualities. And always remember a bunch of it is plain luck. They just can't interview everyone.

It's prolly not just your MCAT score..........I got rejected pre-secondary to wayne state, and I have a 32 MCAT (11,11,10) and a 3.6 GPA.......so it's prolly something else
