Yeah, I've mentioned it several times on SDN before, but GoT are my favorite books of all time!! I first read 1-4 about 5 years ago. I met George R.R. Martin at Comic Con last year and had him sign several of my books 😀 I also waited many, many hours to get third row seats for the GoT show panel at Comic Con. Yeah - huge nerd and enormous fan!!

That being said - please please please save me a spot if signups start and I'm not around! Also, I may be in clinics by the time it starts, but I'll do my best to be active 🙂
 
Trying to read the first one. Soooo hard mod and read and work at the same time 😡

If you get Jon Snow, I'll take Robb Stark. I think the guy that plays him in the show is hot. Him and the guy that plays Jon.
 
I need a change of pace, but I don't want to mod a game yet because of inexperience.

So. Who needs a co-mod? We could split write-ups (day/night).

I think I modded after 2 or 3 games. So you have more experience than I did. of course expectations were low as most of the players had never played before.

I was thinking about a sports themed game although it may not be too popular in pre-vet (except for Nyanko).
 
I'd be up for co-modding, LIS, if we can think of a topic.

For moddin it really helps for people to split up the write ups. Katie and I being on different time schedules has actually been a god send.

But it takes A LOT of work. And people look at you oddly. And you are on your phone practically all the time (at least i am!!)

I second this! It has been super helpful being on different time schedules! It was definitely waaay time consuming at first but once we found our balance it has been quite manageable. (all be it I am always connected to some sort of Internet capable device!!)

I definitely like having two people
Modding. I can't imagine doing this current WW by myself - I would be totally overwhelmed!

I definitely want to mod another game after this. It's been so fun!

1. Kaydubs and krist (now known as k squared 🙂)- Harry potter- I have no idea on Kaydubs' availability, but anytime after Katie's is fine with me except May 17-26 I'll be vacationing in Florida!!
2. Dyachei- game of thrones?
3. DVMDream-Golden Compass-signups will begin at the end of June, game starting beginning of July
4. Lissarae06/LIS (aka the Dream Team)- Avengers/Comic Books- after everyone else mods their games or there is a break

Tortall is a series of books by Tamora Pierce. And nohika's been talking it up on the thread, we just never put ourselves on the list. Haven't you been paying attention, we have an awesome way to include dead players and roles for all! :laugh: Since you just mentioned the Marvel one in the WW thread today, I didn't think you would mind. But you can switch us if you really want.
 
you know why I love this thread? Because everyone I know is all, "oh man you're taking two months off this summer? You're going to be so bored before you know it." And in my head, I'm all, "ppssshhh I've got like 938 WW games I can play in too keep me entertained." 😎 That's like a job right there 😀

I am only taking a month off but I am looking forward to being able to relax and play a little WW before I head off to Scotland! 🙂

PLEASE CAN I PLAY!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've read every single book. I only haven't read the short stories. But I really really want to play in this one. And I thought no one else read those books.

I would also love to play HP and am game for anything else as long as I'm not going to be busy. I was way too busy this last game.

I might just be the ultimate HP nerd. I even still listen to the MuggleCast podcast.😳

Unfortunately, travel to Florida and park admission is out of my present financial abilities right now.

I have been living vicariously through every single person I know who has gone there, though. 😀
 
I do know the back story of Minerva a la pottermore. Does this count?
 
Thinking this order:

Game of Thrones, HP (if it's ready and depending when Game of Thrones ends), Tortall (IPB and I), Lissarae's game if she's up to it by then, and then Sherlocke.

Since I think four days wouldn't be enough and one of the mods for the HP game will be gone May 17-26 so that leaves them out as the next game, but presuming Game of Thrones will take a week or two, if Katie's back before Game of Thrones ends then them next, if not, IPB and I's Tortall game should be ready by then, and then after that HP (again, depending on how long the games manage to run), then Lissarae's Avengers, then Sherlocke.

Whoo! Rambling. :laugh:
 
If game of thrones is next, I shall sit it out. I have currently just checked out the book (ok, a super long time ago, but I've been modding!!!) and need to give it back by the 17th. I might just have to be late and pay the library fines. How long do you think one can read a 700 page book with 6 hrs of work a day?
