Wow! That's a numerous amount of schools you applied to... I can't imagine how much that cost you. However, I know how you feel as I, too, am throwing a huge net and hoping something bites. I've applied to numerous schools around the nation, but not as many as you.

My primary campus of interest are USC, Chapman, and Western U. I already submitted my apps to Western U... and I'm taking my GREs in a few days so I can send USC and Chapman my scores and finally complete my application process. But I'm hoping one of them will give me an interview. Good Luck!!!

My freshman year (and first semester junior year) GPA is killing me, but I'm hoping (as most in this situation), the admissions boards will look at my more current grades. I'm finishing up chem 1 and physics 1 this fall, with chem 2 and physics 2 in the spring.

People have some real good GPAs (congrats) from browsing this, so hopefully they can look at the collective app. Any wise words of wisdom, or encouragement?

Good luck to all.

Good Luck to Everyone!

Side Note: The FIU interview was very relaxed, Dr. Brunt can be a little straight faced and serious but he's very genuine and appreciates when you reciprocate that. He interviews you for about 15 mins then takes you on a tour of the facility (which all looks immaculate). After that two of the faculty interview you for about 20-25 mins depending on your responses and how many questions you have. Finally, you see Dr. Brunt again and ask him some final questions and then you are finished. I never saw another applicant the entire time. They let me know their response in exactly a week. Feel free to ask me anything!

Hey everyone. I've been lurking for a while, but now that the interviews and acceptances are coming in I figured I would post my stats. I know that this thread helped calm my nerves during the application process.

Applied (PTCAS Submitted 9/6): The Ohio State University, Ohio University, Indiana University, University of Miami, University of Delaware, UNC, Pitt, URI, Youngstown State
Interviews: University of Delaware (11/4), University of Miami (11/16), Ohio University (11/23), Indiana University (12/6), URI (just got notified today)
Rejected: N/A
Waitlisted: N/A
Accepted: University of Delaware (11/13)

I applied to lots of schools because I was nervous that with my business background, and low pre-req gpa, I would not be a very competitive candidate. To my surprise the interviews started pouring in late October. I spent an extra year in school finishing my science pre reqs and working nights loading boxes at UPS, so these interviews and acceptances have been the culmination of a year and a half long application process. It's been a crazy and exciting last month and I expect things to only get more hectic as I try to make a decision. Good luck everyone!
