Good luck to everyone!
University: Kenyon College, 2011
Major: English, Creative Writing
Overall GPA: 3.49 (took a dive senior year from a 3.7)
Pre-req GPA: 3.77
GRE: Q 153V 169 AW 5.0
Extra-Curric: a lot of clubs and tutoring stuff, also was an RA in undergrad.
Volunteer and observation hours: 100+ outpatient, 4 inpatient (hard to find places that will let me), 100+ hospice volunteer, and a bagazillion hours of PT aide work through my job as a home health aide
Applied: Washington University, SUNY Upstate, Sage Colleges, Husson, Touro U. in Nevada, Nova SE (hybrid & Ft. Lauderdale), & maybe Utica (if I can finally get 6 more inpatient hours by the deadline in January-- they require 10)
Acceptances: N/A
Rejections: N/A
Waitlisted: Touro
Interviews: SUNY Upstate
I applied really late in the cycle (didn't take the GRE until mid-November and my last recommendation didn't come in until December 1st), and still have some prerequisites to finish up in the spring semester. I just figured out that I wanted to go the PT route in July (previously was pursuing nursing), so I got kind of a late start on getting everything done. At the time I was working two jobs (one part-time and one full-time) and going to school, so it was tough to get the ball rolling. Hopefully this will work out okay, but even if it doesn't I have no problem applying again next cycle.
