GPA's, GRE's, XTRA's, ACCEPTANCES

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Glad to meet fellow students 🙂 I'm currently trying to sort out how close to Leesburg my fiancé and I can move without him having a nightmarish commute to work (it is in the opposite direction of Leesburg, much closer to DC, and if you are not from the area, you will soon learn that our traffic is a special kind of hell DC residents learn to endure).

If you guys need any help with figuring out where to live, etc., let me know. I'm a local 🙂

Thanks! Also excited to meet fellow students. I'm from New Jersey so I will definitely be looking into housing in the Leesburg area when it gets closer to the start date. Looking forward to it!

I know you are wondering about Michigan schools. I heard from Wayne State (end of January), Oakland U (end of January) and U of M (November 6th).

I have an interview with Wayne at the end of the month! I am anxiously awaiting to hear from U of M Flint- they said the end of February I'd hear a decision but I'm hoping for sooner!

Got accepted into the University of Puget Sound! Never been to the area before. Any current UPS students or Washingtonians have suggestions on places to live? I'm wait listed at a bunch of other schools (CSULB, CSUN, RFUMS) and have an interview planned on the 24th at Pacific University in Oregon. However, I've been looking more and more into UPS and it seems like i'm set on committing there .

I know I just posted yesterday, but I forgot to update my GPA from academic update! Also, if anyone has any helpful tips/information on USF's program like pros or cons please let me know, it would be really helpful 🙂

I'm in the same boat . Haven't heard anything yet, I called and they just said my application is still under review .

ODU does not seem to be a popular PT program on this forum... Or maybe there are not many VA residents here? Anyway, I'm still waiting on ODU's decision since my academic update was just done. The anticipation is killing me since a PT friend of mine just heard back from them a little less than a month ago.

U P D A T E 2/13:
THE BIG ACCEPTANCE. A few rejections and an interview.
This is my third time applying in-state to the Washington schools. Not surprisingly, I was rejected by UPS and Eastern earlier this month. I was also offered an interview with the University of the Pacific, which I had declined because I had already accepted my offer for Utah and submitted my deposit. And yesterday, I finally heard back from the University of Washington. Didn't make the wait-list (again). No, in fact... I GOT IN!!!! *tears of every emotion imaginable*

So this means two things. First, I will have just lost my $750 deposit to the University of Utah. And second (and most important to others who may be reading this and have also applied to Utah), this means that another spot will be available at the University of Utah. I realize that Utah is an amazing school and I will definitely have some regrets about this in the future, but Seattle is home to my family and that is a large contribution to this decision. That and in-state tuition is much more appealing...

Well, good luck to everybody still reading this. And to those who are still struggling, it pays to be persistent. No matter how challenging the obstacles may appear.

I will be attending the University of Washington!

Still don't know how I got rejected from Eastern but I'm glad I got into UW (Top 2 choice)! Still highly considering UDel, until I hear back from the UW Fellowship committee.

Same here. It's been a bit frustrating these past few years too because EWU doesn't inform you of any "weaknesses" on your application. But UW was my #1 choice, so I'm no longer worried about why I didn't make it into Eastern! I guess that means we'll be classmates!

Still no response from UF, which is my top choice anyway, but it's obviously not looking good.

Two quick questions:

Has anyone heard from University of Washington?

And has anyone heard from University of St.Augustine? I applied to the Miami campus and it was SUCH a hassle to apply. Apparently they had some IT problems, so certain files weren't being updated to the applications. I called so many times and no one ever picked up (the admissions phone was having problems too), so it was difficult trying to contact someone about it. They finally contacted me a month after the deadline saying that they were able to update my application. Did anyone have any issues with them?

Personally, I have yet to hear from UW, but I have seen a few people receive acceptances on this forum so far!
