Hi! Congrats on getting an interview. The process was very laid back and welcoming, and you get a tour of the facilities and campus (which are phenomenal) as well! There's a written portion thats very short, nothing to worry about. The interview was a two-on-two setting, which only lasted about a half hour. They asked Why Midwestern, but other than that they didn't ask any of the typical interview questions (strengths, weaknesses, why PT, etc) but I would prepare a little for those just in case! Overall, just try and relax and be yourself because they told us they were looking for personality more than anything. You'll do great! 🙂 Any other specific questions, let me know!

Great stats! What are your top choices?

Great stats! What are your top choices?

Right now UF, UCF, UTHSCSA. . And of course if I got into UDel or Duke and found the money somewhere.... Honestly, I want to see if and where I get in and analyze the cost, and then make a final decision. For example I may love UNT. It's sort of useless getting stuck on a top choice and then being so disappointed. I am hopeful I will have a couple of schools to choose from and then make a decision.

That's pretty much the situation I'm in. I'm applying to UCF, USF, UNF, and UF as well. I want to go to UCF, but it's all a matter of where I get accepted and weighing out the factors. Where did you go for undergrad?

(I have very low GPA's I know, but I have faith! My last 60 hours are like 3.7+, got deans list my last semester, some very solid LOR's, and from the feedback I have gotten people seem to think my essay is great. Im really hoping to get into high point. It is their first time accepting students, I went down there and the directors were fantastic. Had an amazing vision for the program and I want to be part of that. They are amazing sport PT's, and their biomechanics professor and movement analysis labs are best in the country. Honestly if I get the interview there I know I will nail it they already know my face, I got a feel for what they are looking for, and I am 100% ready.)

GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE!

How did you bring up your GRE score? I am getting low scores on the practice exams

Hello,
I just received my acceptance letter a few days ago from The University of Findlay's PTA to DPT program, and am curious to hear opinions of the program from individuals who are going through the program or have who have completed the program.

*How are/were your experiences with the program?
*How are the exams, labs, and homework assigned/performed? i.e. on-site at the university, online at home, or mixture of both?
*Where do people that commute from far distances usually stay when in Findlay for classes?
*Do most of the students work Full-time or Part-time throughout the program?
*Is there any advice you would give to someone going into the program that would help them be successful in completing the PTA to DPT program?

Thank you for your time, and all the best wishes to you in your future endeavors!

Did you ever apply to a traditional DPT program?

How did you bring up your GRE score? I am getting low scores on the practice exams

Got the Kaplan books and the Kaplan videos and pretests. The videos really helped. Also just working on the basics of the individual quantitative topics (statistics, proportions, geometry, algebra, etc...) Also learning one of the top 50 most used GRE words every day is helpful, you can learn a lot with that tactic. The biggest thing I needed was quant and what really helped were youtube videos working through problems that I saw on the GRE's the first time and in practice tests.

Also another big factor is I just felt calmer and didn't cram for the second test at all had a long time to work on the material, got a good night sleep had a good breakfast. Walked into the test super ready the second time. First time I was a little anxious....

Best of luck!

Has anyone heard back about an interview to Temple??

I interviewed early September and received an offer about a week later.

Awesome interview day. Very casual with alot of PT students greeting you. Actual interview is a group session between 6 or so applicants and current PT students asking questions, while 1 faculty member is present.

Congrats on the acceptance! What made you decide to go there, early decision I assume? Do you mind if I ask what your stats were?
