Can anyone tell me if I need to complete certain programs to be certified as a pharm tech? or can I just study on my own and PASS the exam?

I'm pretty sure you can study on your own and do it. At least that's how it is in the Commonwealth of VA. Good luck!

you can just study and take the exam, that's what I did, it wasn't particularly difficult
