Indiana University Class of 2025 Interview/Acceptance Thread

After taking some time to reflect, it's crazy how far we have come. I interviewed all the way back in October/November and now all I have to do is wait a couple more weeks to hear whether or not I am going to become a dentist. Isn't that crazy guys. I remember four years ago, I started undergrad and now I may have the chance to start dental school. Life sure flies by haha.

I feel you. It’s been almost a 6 year journey for me. It’s really crazy putting things into Perspective like this.

Hey guys, I got accepted to IUSD. I got accepted 2 weeks after interviewing at the end of January. I've submitted my deposit and declined an offer from another school. The issue I'm having is the school's lack of communication. They haven't updated me with the rest of my to-do list or what to expect. When do I enroll? when can I see a syllabus or a schedule? When will the financial aid award letter go out? Been super frustrated since my lease ends soon where I live and would have to move out there as soon as possible. If anyone has a timeline of these events please let me know.

Congrats! July 6th is the first day of classes/orientation. This may be completely online as they haven’t decided yet.

For those who are on the waitlist has your status changed from “invited to for interview” to “waitlisted”?
 
I just got an email saying they cannot offer me a seat.. thats my official rejection there. I interviewed mid Jan
 
I received a rejection from IU as well. Pretty upset with myself, the interview did not go well and I was expecting to do much better. Cheers guys, good luck.
 
It seems like there’s already been waitlist movement. Anyone on here get off the waitlist today?
 
This was my second time applying to dental schools and got a rejection email from here yesterday lol 😭 My interview went so well and they said something along the lines of “we want to see you walking our halls next fall” but also “we want to be honest that it comes down to if there are enough seats for you” I’m oos from the west coast and although my interview went so well I’m sure looking at my app holistically there were many other amazing candidates. Kinda sad and was super hopeful after my interview but can respect that there simply is not enough seats to accept everyone. lol here’s to another gap year 😭😂

The denials they sent out yesterday included waitlisted and non-waitlisted applicants?

Yes. From my understanding, the candidates who were WL’d did not have a change in status in AADSAS. It still said “Invited for Interview”.

Mine changed to "Wait Listed", but I wouldn't overthink it. Ugh so nerve-racking😬
 
I’m sorry, I meant some and not all waitlisters. Mine changed yesterday to “Wait Listed” and I have not received any other feedback from the school as of yet. My apologies for the confusion.
 
for anyone that was rejected, what does your status say on AADSAS? Mine still says invited for interview, and I received a rejection email.
