Hi, sdn members! I have a question that been bugging me a lot.

I attended medical school in the country where undergrad is combined with medical school education. There is no way around it. It’s a national standard for medical school to have 6 years combined education in that country.

I had to leave due to political reasons and to reunite with family here in USA about 6 years ago. Now Im a undergraduate student here in the US pursuing pre med pathway.

I noticed some medical schools from my list has noted that they don’t accept past medical students.

My question is how would this general rule apply to my current situation? Does this apply to countries where the only way is 6 year education programs straight out of high school or it’s for the US or US-like MD/DO programs?

I wasn’t kicked out or failed the class. My performance was satisfactory and I left after 2nd year. I’ve been working so hard here in the US to continue what I started and sticking to my values. I started over the undergrad since no classes from my international medical academy were accepted here in the US education system. I have a lot of anxiety and stress because Im somehow overlooked that requirement…
