So I'm back from my first interview - went pretty well, but my interview skills definitely could use some honing.

Thus, the interview resolution thread:

fortunately it was the student interview and we were getting along very well. my interviewer also dropped one a bit later in the interview.

what was nuts about it is that the first time i said it, the back of my head is like "don't do that again!"

sure enough, i freaked and did it a few more times.

LOL, I don't think its a big deal with a student interviewer. I caught myself before I cussed during my student interview too and instead said "dang" or "darn" which is really strange because I never EVER say those things.

i'm hoping for an interview opportunity to pull a "thats what she said." It would be priceless. Hopefully it happens a school that I dont really like that much so if i do get rejected b/c of it i wont really care and it will be one hell of a funny story.

i'd never have the balls to actually do it tho.

When I first read that you dropped the F-Bomb in an interview I thought it was in an interview with one of the OLD ad-com members...... but since its was with a med student then it's fine 😛 specially when the interview said it too

I rarely actually laugh out loud, but i think my stoner friends have quoted that WAAAAY too many times for me to not LOL at this...

I managed to find myself saying the word "butt flap" at a faculty interview...yeah.
Result: Accepted

I also accidentally swore during a student interview, and immediately apologized, lol. I can't help it, we were talking about poker which I associate with trash-talk, hah. Result: Accepted.

Basically, don't sweat it too much. Do your best, and then try not to analyze it too hard afterward or you'll just go crazy!
