Is a publication going from "in press" to "print" a substantial update?

I have informed medical schools about my publication being accepted/"in press" in my secondaries. Now that it is in print, is this a "substantial update"?

No. An accept is the same thing as in press which is the same as published. All three are pretty much the same for NIH Biosketches.

I agree with @Goro. If your paper was accepted, it's going to be published, and that happens independent of any further effort on your part.

If, on the other hand, your paper got yanked after initially being accepted, then yeah, we'd be pretty interested in that. But not in a way that you'd like.
