Is it worth dreaming of Harvard as the "ONLY PERFECT SCHOOL" where schools like JHU and Duke have awesome statistics to back them up? MEDICALSCHOOLADMISSION.COM says that "Johns Hopkins points out that over 90% of their graduates get one of their top 3 residency choices on Match Day. Duke University reports that 82% of their graduates landed one of their top 3 residency choices". So is the whole blurb about HMS worth it??

Just about every school advertises that most of their students get one of their top 3, but you can't rank schools that you don't earn an interview at. So it's not really their top 3.

The other thing is that there is no report of what the students at a given school want. At the osteo school in my state, for instance, the majority of them actually want to do primary care which is not a hard match.

BTW this poll is about the lamest I've seen on SDN. There are plenty of top schools outside of these three that I'd put in the same tier.

You actually can rank any program you want even if you didn't interview. No chance to match there but you can technically do it.

The issue is that after Step I scores come out, some specialties are eliminated for some people.
