I'm just wondering has anybody ever received 4 or more interviews and did not get in to any of the schools?😕

Some people are probably neanderthals when it comes to socially stressful situations like interviews. At the interview it's your gig to lose so don't shoot yourself in the foot and you'll be fine.

Yea, I've heard before that interviews don't really help you much, but they can cost you acceptance.

I had a friend apply to med school. He had 5 interviews, and was on the wait list for acceptance to 2 of them. It's unfortunate, because his stats were solid... 3.8 cum, 3.6 science, 31 MCAT. Needless to say he is applying again this year. The interview can make or break you.

That's been the biggest fear all along: that I'm going to totally bomb my interviews.

Getting tons of interviews is great, but the fear of screwing up THE interview at your top school is probably the biggest interview related fear a lot of us have.

Just don't act like a decepticon and you'll be fine.

But seriously, if you guys were to get 10 interviews, would you go to all of them?

I believe his avatar is of Optimus... so no fears about that part... if it were of Megatron, then I'd be worried. And no, I wouldn't go to 10 interviews because after 7, I'd get so fed up with the process of flying everywhere and missing class.

You guys speak of missing class to make interview appointments.

To satisfy my curiousity, do most of you apply in or around the summer before your expected last year of undergraduate education (for example just before the fourth year of a BSc. Degree) so you could be admitted into dental school the following year?

What is the most popular time to take the DAT? Are online sessions offered very often?

I appologize if these questions are becoming repetitve, but I have not quite understood the whole cycle yet. Thanks in advance.
